Hi everyone,

We´d like to share a small tool we’ve been working on: Small Box Plots.
We started developing the app to help us choose drivers for DIY PA-speakers. The project grew and perhaps someone else finds it useful.

It is a free public beta app for comparing low-frequency loudspeaker drivers, mainly aimed at professional PA use rather than hi-fi. The app combines actual manufacturer Thiele/Small parameters, published specifications, and digitized sensitivity/frequency response curves across the frequency range.

You can rank drivers by things like max SPL, sensitivity, headroom, usable range, and box-adjusted performance. It also includes live enclosure simulation for sealed, bass reflex, 4th-order bandpass, and 6th-order bandpass boxes, with preset alignments or manual tuning. Simulated power can be set to Nominal/AES, Continuous, Peak burst, or Manual W, and the response can be viewed in free-space, half-space, or quarter-space.
Each driver is simulated in an optimum enclosure for that driver with a couple of different tunings to choose from or you can set a manual tuning and all drivers are simulated with individual enclosures with that tuning.
Simulation affects ranking.

We have started with a limited set of well-known manufacturers (B&C, 18sound, Fatal Pro, Beyma, Emminence, Celestion and BMS), and will expand the database if the tool proves useful.

There is also a section for manually setting box parameters but this is under development at this stage and not meant to be the primary use of the tool.

The app is still experimental, so feedback, corrections, criticism, driver suggestions, and ideas are very welcome. There is a comment function in the app or send me a dm here.

Very nice tool.
One of the drivers I'm currently using is listed as 11 and 31.
I assume these are the 4- and 8-ohm versions?

Updated the app to show ohm directly in the list.
Also added a filter parameter for a specific ohm directly in filter dialog as it was hidden in the T/S menu.
 
I'm really surprised there isn't more going on here.
I think your tool is really great, and the drivers are well chosen.
