Did anyone have to return his amp because it was faulty?
How long did that take and did you get any communication in the process?
Mine is gone nearly 6 weeks now. No reply to mail. The live chat just hit me with lego-text.
Starting to see why this thread exists, unfortunately.
Hi,
Could you please send me your order number or your name via DM so I can check your specific case? I'd rather look at the actual details than speculate publicly.
I'm also not entirely sure what you mean by "the live chat just hit me with lego-text." Our live chat is handled by real people, not AI, and we always try to provide helpful and relevant replies. Our support chat is working normally and is used successfully by many customers every day. If you had a poor experience, I'd genuinely like to understand what happened so we can improve.
From what I can currently see, all completed repairs have already been shipped back to their owners. Fortunately, fault cases are very rare compared to the thousands of amplifiers we have delivered over the years. However, our service department is currently operating with a reduced team due to the summer holiday period, so turnaround times are unfortunately a bit longer than usual. This is only a temporary seasonal situation, and we completely understand that waiting can be frustrating.
I do remember one amplifier that took significantly longer because we simply could not reproduce the reported fault. During normal listening, extended playback, and our standard test procedures, the amplifier performed flawlessly. Rather than returning it and risking the customer experiencing the same issue again, we continued investigating until we could identify the actual root cause. Eventually, after running much more demanding stress tests and precision measurements that go well beyond normal operating conditions, we discovered a subtle issue that only appeared under a very specific combination of load and operating conditions. These kinds of intermittent faults are by far the most time-consuming to diagnose because they often cannot be reproduced consistently.
We have nothing to gain by keeping a customer's amplifier longer than necessary. Our goal is always to return it as quickly as possible, but only once we're confident that the underlying issue has actually been identified and permanently resolved. We'd much rather spend extra time on a difficult diagnosis than send an amplifier back that may develop the same problem again.
If that happens to be your amplifier, I completely understand your frustration with the wait, and I sincerely apologize for the longer turnaround.
Please send me your details via DM, and I'll personally check the current status and get back to you.
