Apollon Audio complaints

@Marcel
I don’t think it’s particularly helpful if every Apollon customer now goes into painstaking detail about their exact timeline.

We’ve only just discussed this at length:

- Apollon is a small manufacturer and only produces each amplifier after receiving an order, which you are already aware of when placing the order
- Apollon does not give fixed delivery date commitments, but in their FAQs provides the following information on expected delivery times:
"Estimated lead time is 14 working days for stereo amplifiers/monoblocks, 21 days for multichannel amplifiers and 30 working days for all Premium amplifiers. Please note that weekends and public holidays do not count as working days."

I have no idea what sort of Apollon amplifier you ordered, but even for a stereo amp/monoblock ordered on Sunday 12 April, the estimated 14-working-day lead time would not have been exceeded until 5 May.

I have absolutely no connection with Apollon Audio and am ‘merely’ a customer myself, but, particularly in this age of Amazon and minute-by-minute tracking, we should show some appreciation for excellent craftsmanship; any criticism of Apollon Audio should, first and foremost, be directed at the product itself.
I don't really care if you think this is helpful or not. I posted my 'painstaking detail' because I noticed that Apollon was active in this thread. If they say the product will be finished on may 4th and I have not heard anything by may 15th I get nervous. That has really nothing to do with 'this age of Amazon and minute-by-minute tracking'. I am not expecting an immediate response.

In any case, after posting here I received a confirmation that my amplifier is finished and will be shipped on monday.

... Despite this being openly communicated on the website, a very small number of customers still choose to rely exclusively on email while expecting immediate responses, and then publicly complain about delayed replies on forums afterward.
Guilty as charged, I had not seen the live chat option. I visited the site only once to place the order, all further communication was via email. Had I known about the live chat option I would have preferred that. Maybe it is an option for you to direct customers to this option in your emails. I was not expecting an immediate response but not hearing anything for more than 2 weeks made me nervous. In any case I am happy this is resolved now, looking forward to next week!

Not a problem at all, and thank you for your honest feedback. We are also responsible for not replying to your email sooner and I fully understand why the lack of communication made you nervous.

Going forward, we will make it clearer in our future emails that the live support chat is available for instant order updates and faster communication regarding production status.

We appreciate your understanding and are very happy that this has now been resolved. Looking forward to getting your amplifier shipped next week!

Ordered a Purifi amp on 04/08/26 - received on 05/20/26.

So 6-7 weeks overall.

Shipment was actually within 24h.

I have no complaints as all went well. Asked for an ETA somewhen along the way and got it via mail.

Worried about packaging? It came in a thick box, covered in paper and again in foam sheet, 4 foam pockets separating it from the box, some box sheets closing the inside. I have no doubt this will usually arrive without any problem.

What I don't have is the live chat on the homepage. It's just not there. I disabled ublock in my browser, but that's not it. Could be network wide adblocking or something with cookies preventing it from loading. So if someone is searching for it.. could be filtered out.

Took delivery of my Purifi 1ET7040SA DM Dual Mono Stereo Amplifier in Black Anodized today.

Thanks to Tibor and the team for the discount code and the one-day express shipping to London.

I must say, it looks beautiful!

This took some time for me to figure out - I use a dns blocker so I had to view my logs to see what to unblock - I added the below to my allowlist for the chat icon to show up

Thanks, you saved me the log-search at pi.hole. Which is a pain on a real busy dns server.

Hi everyone, just a quick update.
Yesterday I received my amplifier.
So, order was paid on April 20th and delivered on May 25th, perfectly in line with the estimated timeframe on the website — actually earlier than Tibor’s latest estimate.
I’ll share more details as soon as I have everything assembled and fully tested.

My two stereo amps are on the way.

Build time was a little longer than expected but whenever I asked for clarification I got a timely response from Tibor.

Bottom line for me is after looking at class D amp options for 2 years, Apollon presented itself as the best builder, best warranty and also has the best aesthetic options (IMHO)...so a little delay is neither here nor there.

Now the fascinating DHL journey has begun...from Slovenia to New Zealand.(estimated duration is 12 days)

Well my Kiwi brother, I ordered a 5 channel Purifi 18/4, shipped 27/5 (30 biz days exactly) shipping is 6 days to Perth for delivery 3/6. All up 46 days in total so I think it is pretty good.

No problems with communication at all so looks like Tibor maybe getting scheduling a bit better.

Well good ole DHL delivered 2 days early and on a public holiday no less.
Man the quality of workmanship on this is next level, really happy with appearance and quality.
Now to see how these Purifi modules power up my S5M monitors in a very large open plan room..
Thank you Tibor, product has so far exceded my expectations.

As a lurker on this thread, I reckon Apollon look like a very good small outfit. The list of other companies that are horror stories to deal with is, by contrast, quite long.

Hi,
What power cord are you using? The question is open to all members.
Trying to find out few options for my new monoblocks.
Thanks,
Mike

I would think IEC (kettle) connectors on one end, and a plug on the other that suits the local mains sockets. So long as the bit in-between is rated at 240 or 120 volts (depending country) and say, up to 5 or 10A, it will be perfect.

There are some really important things to consider when selecting power cords:

1) Length- If it isn't long enough, the cord will have an profound affect on your sound, or rather the lack of it.
2) Connector- Don't have the correct connector, again, dramatic results of no sound.
3) Wire Gauge- Use a cord that is only 18 gauge, you might get voltage sag on peaks and less power.

So after taking all that into account, figure out your length and connector, and go online and buy the least expensive 14 gauge copper wire one that is CE certified if you are in the EU or in the USA NEC compliant or better yet, UL listed.

This is what I got for our Apolllon amps. I'm a fan of this brand generally and use a lot of their products for our home:

Those are what I use. Great for replacing too long cords with shorter ones in the right length (or vice a versa).
