Thank you for clarifying. I do have the issue with losing sound after removing heaphones periodically. I would love to not have this issue.

Let me get this straight because this appears to be the most value DAC/AMP on the market.
1. Built in power supply is convenient.
2. USB-C input, optical, bluetooth... all the good digital inputs that you would ever need.
3. Fully transparent on both DAC and Amp.
4. Balanced and unbalanced outputs
5. Enough HPA power for almost every headphone
So idk how they can sell at this super low price. I guess like I am wondering what is the downside to this beside not having a really nice display or UI. Also what can compete with this?

Hello everyone. I used a vintage Kenwood basic c2 preamplifier on my linux pc, but it was about to leave me and I decided to replace it with a DAC. I had to choose between the c200 and topping dx3+ pro. I chose the second but I was disappointed for the "clipped" frequency response compared to the Kenwood preamp. I also need to hear the subsonic frequencies ranging from 18hz to 30hz but it seems to be a filter on the Topping that cut these frequencies. Does the c200 have a more extended frequency response? Thank you.

I've been thinking about ordering the C200 but checking today it seems it is gone from Amazon and the purchase links on the product webpage don't seem to work anymore.

It is available through the Aoshida Audio website as well as a few AliExpress sellers, but I'd much rather order it from somewhere I can return it in case some of the issues that were discussed earlier in the thread present themselves.

Does anyone know if SMSL might be planning to replace the device with a new one?

It seems to me that out of the ASR circle the C200 isn't that well known but not sure if that's true or not.

C200 is showing availability in the on the Amazon.ca site sold by the Aoshida Audio-CA store. The C200 is no longer on the hifi-express site but is now showing the DL200 at $189.99 USD which is less than the current price of the C200 (in CAD comparison).

Yeah there’s basically no reason to get c200 over the dl200

Maybe it will grow on me, just think it's an odd shape.
The C200 is no looker either, though, and I own one.
The look of the dl200 wouldn't put me off buying one, it certainly seems like fantastic value based on the specs.

Could I also connect my Edifier MR4s directly to it, through RCA or balanced TRS, or would I need an amp in between?

i think those are active speakers so, yes you should be able to do that

The SMSL DL200 is already on Amazon, this is strange, why it costs less than the C200 even though is a newer design, with more features and more powerful? Just a marketing trick, or it costs more to produce in a smaller frame?

No, it’s just a market correction probably… reducing price to compete with other products. So now it has the best price to performance for a desktop Dac Amp (I think

Hello everyone, one question. Is the c200 compatible with Nintendo switch? in the sales information it says yes via UAC1 but I've tried connecting via USB and I just can't get it to work. The dac works perfect on my PC and on my Android. But Switch just doesn't work. I hope you can help me.

Good excuse me for my English but it is not my native language, I recently bought the smsl c200, it works very well with the headphones, but when I try to use it with the optical cable to my reciver, it simply does not receive sound, despite having used the bluetooth of my cell phone to the headphones, but I have not been able to make sound come out to my reciver through the optical cable, Which if it does when I connect it to my PC.
