Hi forum as thread suggest , I’m looking for a streamer preamp something.
With the set of features these streamers have .

Lightning killed my WiiM Pro Plus this summer. I would be happy to buy again or have an ultra instead .

But have I missed something on the market ? I want to see what’s options I have .

What features do I find important:

PEQ and room EQ .
Analog input.
Digital inputs
Digital outputs ( not at all optional, strictly required ).
Roon .
Spotify conect .
Squeezelite compatible .
Analog out .
Subwoofer out and suitable crossover functionality ( possible future use , not strictly required now ).

I have looked at for example Eversolo and Luxsin , strangely enough the only close call is the play , but that thing has an power amp I don’t need ?
Eversolo seems to remove functionality in thier more expensive offerings in true audiophile fashion??

More googling seem only to reveal what an unique set of features WiiM devices seems to have :) others should take note if they want to be in this market ?

There's the Arylic LP100 around 400 USD but I doubt their software is as full featured or refined. Looking at the manual I think the EQ is limited to low/medium/high. Having used the Amp Ultra for a few months I have no complaints.

I used to mess around with a lot of their diy boards back in the day, and while their software was surprisingly decent, the boards were made ok, but the engineering hygiene, and knuckle-dragging choice of BOM would make me a bit wary.
Hope I’m wrong though, I always like positive change. When Wiim was first launched, I was picking up a bit of an Arylic tie-in vibe. If true, perhaps Arylic these days has upped their game.

A quick glance at the AK7735 datasheet (ADC+DSP) is only good for CD quality/-96dB at best. If you keep things on the input digital, it does use the AK4493 for the DAC (same as in my O.G. E-30, my favorite DAC). But they can still manage to f@#k things up. Hopefully, over the last five or so years, they’ve got the fundamentals right nowadays. $400 is a bit spendy IMHO, especially given the Wiim series of very competent gear. Have fun!

I've found one streamer with a similar feature set Eversolo DMP A10 it has even more features and balanced IO .

The only little snag is that it is 10 times more expensive than the WiiM Ultra :)

So i've ordered an ultra , especially since my current use case is digital in from CD and streaming and digital out to active speakers with analog in from my phono pre on the side.
The main use is ROON or LMS to active speakers then CD then phono .

I think the Cambridge Audio MXN10 has most of those features for 400€ ( John Atkinson measured it on Stereophile with a very positive impression)

The MXN 10 is more of a transport, it doesn't have a volume control or subwoofer support.

It does have volume control, but yes, no subwoofer output
