Does anyone use analog processing between a DAC and SS preamp or between SS preamp and SS amp when the source is digital? To NOT keep the signal pure and add to already mastered music subtle distortion and drive, harmonic distortion, saturation "warmth"?
NOT for a clean as-is signal but with transformers to ADD harmonic distortion/saturation/warmth with analog processing?
No not via a computer, DAW, and software plug-ins. With hardware only like
XLR IN > XLR OUT
