I think that should work. The output is to both XLR and RCA and I don't see a way to disable one of them. On the other hand though you might want to look at some of the products miniDSP sells which would allow you do do a digital crossover for your sub(s).

Don't get overly excited at the prospects of Amir doing a review, if only because Topping's own specifications show the D90 III Discrete measures closer to an E70 Velvet than to a D90 III Sabre.

No feedback from the service yet, I did borrow a windows PC and was able to update the firmware to 0.37
So, here's my warning: current firmware update can be problematic with a Mac, no issues with Windows

I was able to successfully update the firmware today to 0.38 using my M1 MacBook Air on MacOS 15.2 (Beta). It fixed all the problems I was having with the 12V Trigger.

It did not, however, resolve the loud hiss on DSD recordings whenever I attempt to turn on DSD Bypass in pure DAC mode.

I cannot really discriminate between D90SE and D90 III Discrete, they sound the same to me

Of all the audibly transparent DACs out there, it is simultaneously the best sounding and the worst sounding.

Yes if its transparent it sounds like the record you play if the recording is horrible it will sound horrendous if its a good recording it will sound heavenly .

If some stoge on yt claims thats they sound different if would not give that to much cred . For a multitude of reasons.
Especially in cases where the test objects are beyond transparent for human listeners , then there is only experimental error left.

Yeah we still don't know how he did that exactly. He hasn't done a follow up yet. What we do know is he no longer does subjective DAC reviews on his YouTube channel.

Keep an eye on Aliexpress for deals. From a sale this week I just bought D90 III Discrete from ShenzenAudio through Aliexpress for $849 on sale. Then there was was an $80 coupon and 15% cashback available. Also used Chase Freedom card for another 5% back when using Paypal. Took price down to $613 + $60 tax after all discounts. Looks like another sale might be coming for BF week. They may be trying to move as much product as possible now before additional tariffs start next year.
