I have downloaded Robin Schmidt's Music Engineering Tools' DSP plugin ToolChain with contains, among other DSP plugins, a filter generator called Engineersfilter which I am using to construct a L-R 4th order crossover for my 2 way system (Acoustat mains, a pair of stereo subs). ToolChain allows you to string together in series a variety of plugins, so in essence, it is a plugin that acts as a plugin holder. Engineersfilter lets you construct a variety of filters- in my case I wish to link 2 Butterworth 2nd order filters together to create the L-R 4th order filters.

That said, my question is, when I open Engineerfilter, I am allowed to create filters in what is termed "slots": slot 1, slot 2, etc. I would assume that I would just create my 2nd order Butterworth in slot 1 and slot 2 in order to cascade them, but I am not sure and would like confirmation from someone experienced with these Robin Schmidt plugins. I have emailed him but no reply. The forum he suggests posting to for help has no replies from him either for over a year.

Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
