I am not a series fan. the stories are stupidly overextended waisting our time.
with that being said, my girlfriend insisted in watching a few episodes of La Casa De Papel yesterday. right at the beginning I was anoyed by the all the "time fillers", BUT I actualy enyoed the heist story.
I have found out before that a story can be max. extended to 5 hours before it becomes a "friend zone".
I can't be the only one in the world feeling like that!? Are there any methods to watch the story and filter out all the time waisting? any fan based cuts or something like that?
I can surely forget my curiosity about the ending of the story, but then I feel even more time robbed because of what I allready saw

I'm the opposite, the more long winded and plot averse something is the better, same with novels. Films that are all plot, or have scenes that are only there to drive the plot seem trite, I'm not keen on short stories either.

It started out well enough, but I agree it got rather drawn out in the second half of the first season, and that's where I lost interest. What really bugged me, though, was the appalling quality of the English subtitles. Even the English title is terrible.

No problems with subtitles. In fact we often add CC to British and Australian series we watch to make sure we don't miss anything due to accents or mumbling. As far as series or novels go - the more episodes/volumes the better!

I got annoyed with "Lost", because the episodes were staggered thus:

Episode A: Intriguing story reveal is just about to happen, then episode ends
Episode B: Flashback episode, and a different story arc!
Episode C: Back to original story, but secret isn't quite revealed
And so on.

I grew so annoyed that after Season 1, I just played the rest at high speed (who needs audio?), watched the series finale, and called it good! Had I gotten seriously invested, I think I'd have been very disappointed.
