Any thoughts on Technics SU-R 1000 "reference" amp

Yes, maybe, I am currently looking at NAD M66+M23 combo. That would certainly measure better than Technics.
If I was in the market for an amplifier I would be looking at getting a preamplifier + Eigentakt 1ET9040BA monoblocks. On the other hand, Buckeye Amps has plans to release a promising integrated amplifier with Hypex and Purifi modules.

Lyngdorf has just released a new amp, the TDAI-2210. Their room correction is IMHO very user friendly and achieved great results for me. Adding stereo woofers with the DSP in the amp takes things to the next level WRT decor friendly speaker placement and bass integration.
(My 2.2 setup consists of a tdai-2170, sda-2175 for woofer duty, 2x Dali rubicon lcr and 2x DIY woofers each with two 10” lyngdorf spec drivers, vifa I believe)

Ooh, that is very attractive (especially as shown,  sans display).
