Hi all! I have a small 42” TV mounted in our bedroom that has variable analog output, which I send through a little Topping amp behind the TV to power a pair of loudspeakers. Works great and no clutter.
We may need to replace the TV soon, but it’s hard to find one today with variable analog RCA out.
I’m looking for a small amp with TOSLINK input and a Bluetooth remote, so I can mount the amp behind the TV and control volume with the amp remote. So far, no luck. The TV is mounted high near the ceiling (out of necessity) and there’s no room to mount an AVR near the TV, and it would be hard to mount an amp with line of sight to our listening space. HDMI input would be okay, too, but I’m guessing more expensive.
Sound quality just needs to be fine…no need for overkill in this situation. Can anyone suggest a solution? Trying to keep it under us$200.
