Yeah I got Monacor ath-62 on them - 10dB each and amp is again 6dB pulled compared to woofers. Still audible. But thank you for the tip!

I had same tweeters with passive filter and purifi amp, no hiss.
When you like to go active you need good dsp/dac/amp combination. I build it myself because never found a solution within my budget.

Can the PCUI work with the networked version like SigmaStudio can? If so you can use a Pi Zero W running sigmatcp instead of the ICP.
I think that uses the BP1048 in which case this thread might be applicable. It's an open web interface running on an ESP32 to control the DSP. It initially targetted a cheapish Aiyima sub, but is expanding to other boards using the same DSP chip.

I wonder about the Hypex Plate amps Dimensions.From what i remember i once wanted to build a mini Nearfield 2 way and ended up going Passive X Over causeCurrently I use Wondom JAB5 for a stereo 2 way system (each ch separate amp) 4x100 W on 6ohm. I use it mainly with bluetooth AptXHD.
I use with the PCUI software but for that the ICP must be connected ALL TIME!
I must say it is quiet noisy.. (ok I use with 100dB+ selenium D220Ti in Horns and B&C 8NDL51 94dB).
I love if for music..
They also released JAB6 with is TPA3255 2x so 300W on 4 Ohm if you can power it (48V).
What is yet unclear to me how these addoncard work. It got quiet a price bump, (but still a lot cheaper then any other 4 ch +dsp).
Question if it works with DSP AND bluetooth together or are those different cards and you need to choose
Then there is also a bluetooth reciever, and I would use the DSP but that is like 150€ ish...
I also considered Hypex FA 253 or 503 (only the fan though..) but I wouldneed 2 of those (plan to add bass driver to the 2 ways to make them 3 way full range). that is 1400€.. ouch.
I have seen the Acoustas 650 which looks also nice, but pricey for my build.
I also have 2 BRU5 (no ICP5 needed use different software).
Could also work well.
I am currently thinking to make a passive crossover (or leave is active crossed).
So your luck is that today there are a lot of options for a 2 way... but if you want 3 way.. that is a diffement anymal...
JAB 5 and 6 are also daisy chainable (so you can get more amp ch-s and still have DSP controll over each).
Maybe I will try a JAB6 next time hook them together with the JAB 5 , bridge those for subs or any other combination.
That is the cheapest solution and you have a LOT of flexility...
And if you find out what solution do you like, you can move foreward to Hypex nCore, MiniDSP - T-Amp or other.
Will yours be a desk setup or a living room setup ? Mine is planned for a living room. But no smart TV, only coax output so I am quiet picky... would love HDMI CEC... sooo comfy with chromecast on my Onkyo Recieverwhich also works with bluetooth.
All Hypex plate amps start at 30+ Cm height while i wanted the speaker to be 24-25 cm high.
I remember the older Models where more compact. So it makes me think why they went this Big as base size.
Any ideas? Also any suggestions on other plate amps 2 or 2 way that are more compact?
Its a bummer imho that all studio monitors always have amazingly compact nice plate amps but they are not possible to find for an end consumer
Yes it sound awsome, but this is my first (second as uni project) speaker, and first dsp amp. I don't have the money for it. I still enjoy it and maybe I will one day upgrade, but still what you can buy today for very and I mean very little money is crazy. When I started I got a buggy 2ch Class AB amp for 100€ that sometimes did some DC twichery on the right side... compared that today a class D 4ch, with nice DSP and bluetooth AptX HD and some hiss for 60€..... nobrainer to me...
Purifi 4ch would be ~1500....
If I build a passive cross from nice componenet is will be roughly 75€... 2-3nd oder 1200Hz+ on TW and 1500- on 8NDL (measured flat)
And if I guess right that would itself also lower the hiss, as voltage divide between TW and MID would be.
As the forum opener is also finding a 900€ 6ch amp somewhat expensive (i mean it is very nice for the price, but I am OK with what i got now).
Even better would be Hypex FA 253 or 503... and Fosi S3 or ZD3 but that is 2k€ what i need now .. plan to buy a house
