Any reason to plug midrange/tweeter directly into DAC bypassing crossover?

I run my DAC through the crossover in my subwoofer, but I use four mono amps that are biwiring the speakers to power the highs and lows separately. Is there any reason I might want to just plug the highs directly into the RCA outputs of the DAC and bypass the crossover? Since it's set at 60 Hz, this should not affect the frequency response, but I'm concerned about potential DSP delay from the subwoofer. Or maybe the balanced -> unbalanced and crossover circuitry could affect the level. Any thoughts?

I tried it and it sounds good. Maybe a little brighter sounding? Measuring the frequency response might tell me if the levels are off, but it doesn't appear to sound worse.

I guess DSP latency may be around 3ms, imperceptible right?
