Any reason not to order the new Buckeye 2nd Gen Purifi EIGENTAKT 2-ch amplifier?

@Buckeye Amps Can you share that link please? As I noted, I did not have issues with the Crown amp.

@pogo How would that work with the Buckeye? It doesn't have RCA inputs. I tried adding the trigger-on connecting Icon and Buckeye but that did not resolve the issue.

RCA to XLR cable could be a possible solution, but Bluesound specs the RCA out as 8dB hit to SNR so it's not an ideal solution.

The manufacturer will be able to give you a better answer. A special XLR cable may be a solution, which also has an RCA branch for the ICON with regard to grounding.
There definitely seems to be a different grounding concept between your amp and a Purifi from NAD or the Crown.

Here is one link an owner sent me previously.

Weirdly, it seems Bluesound knows of their XLR shortcomings and suggests using the RCA Outputs over XLR in their own support guide (per a user in the linked discussion)

That is not correct. Bluesound speaks of an additional ground connection via RCA.

Where did they got that "floating ground is the preferred by audiophiles" ?
It's the first time I hear such a think. The most it may happen to a decent pre is a maybe 50-100 Ohm res to ground and that's it,and that's for older ones.

This class I and class II mix of devices is a problem waiting to happen.
And has to do with certs or nice SINAD I suspect.
They better fix this mess,XLR is about removing (canceling more correct) noise, not introducing some of its own

If it's within the return windows I'd send the ICON back. Nothing I hate more than dealing with idiotic work arounds on new devices.

Floating ground is a technique used to reduce/eliminate ground related noise, e.g. ground loops in audio cables, ...

What's this nonsense?

The Bluesound NODE ICON is a two-plug power product with no ground. It has a floating ground as it is the preferred grounding style for audiophiles. The NODE ICON does not have the provision to connect the signal ground of other chassis grounds. When using an XLR audio connection, you may hear a humming noise.

To resolve this issue, connect an analog audio RCA cable between the NODE ICON and the amplifier.

Where?Certainly not in the nice pres we know.
Pro gear may have the choice of lifting ground but these are tools and is just that: a choice.
Pff...

What's this nonsense?
Lol indeed. Even the often-touted "pin1 problem", as in XLR shield/pin1 used as signal ground as opposed to chassis ground, is better than this. At least, let's say, more compatible.

Pro gear may have the choice of lifting ground but these are tools and is just that: a choice.
And you also have this choice with the ICON to get the best result.

I was not aware of the Bluesound issues, but have added it to my notes for future reference. While I did a quick search, saw these.

And you also have this choice with the ICON to get the best result.
So it has a switch to lift ground?Cause that's what "choice" means.
So what is all about this idiotic extra RCA connection if the choice is there with a switch?
