The BMR Tower uses a mass-loaded transmission line with an 8-inch Scan Speak 22W/8851T Revelator woofer. It provides flat in-room response to 25 Hz with no port noise. Useful response extends to 20 Hz. Two BMR midrange drivers further improve power handling and offer increased clarity in the lower treble and upper midrange. BMR towers are priced at $3,500/pair, plus shipping. To order, email Dennis Murphy at [email protected]. The next batch of towers will arrive in Dec. 2021

This would be my vote as well. Super wide and even dispersion, with 25Hz extension. Close 2nd for me would probably be Revel F208.

I just ordered a pair of these last night in Piano black.

I was debating between these and revel f208's and ended up with the philharmonics due to price for a pair and I like small businesses that also put measurements out there for all to see.

This is also for a dual purpose room (music and home theatre) and getting a full surround setup in philharmonic stuff was quite a bit cheaper than the Revel for not much performance loss if any.

Or sell the amp, and put the extra money into an active system?
I endorse this; I consider actives to always be a better solution than passives.

Wow, the specs on those do look really good. Quite similar to some larger Salk's, from what I can tell. They are rated around 100W? I didn't see that, so I'd guess just from the speaker specs.

OP, what sort of listening distance and levels, room size, room acoustics and general house construction are we talking about?

There are two distinct avenues I would be exploring... first, bass / low midrange level handling and distortion, second, baffle size / directivity. As a rule of thumb, large distance - large speaker.

While the Dali Oberon 9 is an option, don't expect the drivers to be similar to those in the BMR Tower.
Scan Speak 22W/8851T - $337 each - https://meniscusaudio.com/product/scan-speak-22w8851t/
RAAL 64-10 tweeters - $180? each if you can find them? - http://analoghighend.blogspot.com/2017/01/raal-64-10-ribbon-review.html
Parts of this caliber are not usually found in $3500 speaker.

Not saying they are by any means better than anything, just wanted to point out that the Dali Oberon 9 has two 9" woofers. Just saying.

Will do. Dennis said they are ordering another round now and they won't be to him until end of December. I am in no hurry so it worked out well for me.

I ordered BMR Towers for left / right, a BMR for center, and 4 minis for surround and voice of god. I will get the minis soon but all else in a few months.

I am still semi tempted to change the BMR Center to a BMR tower for center....but that would require raising my TV up 10" and re-designing my entertainment center to be a split design with the BMR tower in the middle....not to mention another $1000 in speaker cost...
