I am starting a large project to implement Home Assistant at home from scratch, and even though audio wasn't at all part of the project, I stumbled into Music Assistant and its Sendspin multi room standard.
They claim <1ms "sync precision" and one can also sync lights and show info on screens. Free (they do sell devices though) and under the umbrella of the Open Home Foundation. For sure it involves some tinkering but looks like a perfect project to get into for me.
I figured out that it would be valuable to know what people here think even though the forum search gives only a couple of mentions.
Any experiences? If yes, what sort of devices are you using? I see they propose as example a esp32-s3 with a PCM5102A DAC to build your own wireless speaker, what must be the most available and cheap setup ever. Any obvious or not so obvious red lights?
