Any dates yet on Marantz AV30 release?

Anyone heard any dates on AV30, this year or next?

So, soon?

Thank you! Hope it will be same high quality as its siblings but less channels and cheaper, for us, who dont need a lot of channels.
I agree that would only be fair in AV XX family but heard some rumors they might not shoot for the stars with this one, which could be wrong. Their 11 ch products are generally a step down, which might or might not happen with this model. But sure they will make it really good though.

This was posted in another thread (not by me), but it's useful here:

If those are the specs, then the AV30 is awfully tempting for me given I only need 11 channels.
I'm in a similar spot, currently 5.2.4 in a small room and unlikely to add rear surrounds based on the positioning of the current surrounds. If anything, I'd maybe add wides, but I'd still be covered.

But if it uses ES9017Sx2 then it probably not better than the Denon x6800h which is same street price but is frequently discounted and with integrated amps.(Can be found at 2350e in France for Black Friday with free dirac art upgrade).
Then the good middle ground would be x6800h + dedicated high end amp like purifi 1et6525sa / hypex ncx500 for LCR channels and the remaining channels powered by the integrated amps.

Here in the netherlands Marantz can also be found with a nice discount. I'm not in a hurry to replace my denon 3700h (pre amp mode). But I thought the marantz Av30 could be a good replacement when it arives. Was just intresseted in de AV30. When my denon keeps working I will problably not replace it next year.

Right, and they could have made a Denon AV6800 as a lower end alternative to the AV10 and AV20, by not including the power amps, beef up the PS for the preamp dac, and add balanced I/Os but of course they wouldn't do that because they believe the AV30 would let them maximize profits, by leveraging Marantz fans faith, who love the aesthetic, forcing them to pay the HDAMs that have questionable benefits and saving the costs for implementing the 2 additional preamp/dac channels.

Well so far the deal was Denon gets the flagship AVR and Marantz gets all the AVPs. I do have my own thoughts about excessive and overlapping D&M line up, but with recent ART implementation don't see that they are hard pressed to change their practices unless Samsung steps in. These things must be flying off the shelves now as they are golden standard in the AVR/AVP world. Flying off the shelves should not be taken literally as the whole market segment is shrinking.

I also think they would not change there practices. Ideally though I thought it would make sense to eliminate the one overlap, i.e. the 6800 as there are the A1H and A10H already. That way they could actually fulfil the wish of some Denon fans who would love to have the choice of an AVP so they can use balanced I/Os and their existing power amps, at a significantly lower price than the AV20 currently listed for $6,000. The AVR-X6800H is listed for just $3,799 so an AV-X6800H could have been listed for around $3,199 to $3,799 at the most. Again, for now it is just a thought. The current practice is Marantz gets the AV, though they also have the AVRs, therefore it might be possible that it could happen some day, that they might let Denon make a lower end AV. That is, Marantz get the more premium AV products, AV or AVR and Denon get the more budget oriented products and on the 2 channel audiophile side, both make the higher end audiophile integrated amps, turntables etc.

If you ask me, I would merge D&M into one line with Marantz design and give them 4-5 AVRs and 3 AVPs to play with. Cost savings to be passed to consumer and even more so eliminate the consumer pain from choosing models from the current line-up.

Not my idea, but happened to hear it in the consulting world. Apparently brand like Denon-Marantz would fly even higher than two of them separately.

That's a good option too, though technically the Marantz design is mainly the physical part, other than that they have the HDAMs, that you know I don't support because while it no longer do any harm as they did in the last gen, it still represents unnecessary higher cost, more heat produced and potentially more things to deteriorate over time and/or fail so my preference would be merge yes, but with Marantz design for the physical/aesthetics only. All just academic anyway, unlikely to happen...:)

Agreed. Was thinking of the outside appearance, HDAMs are obviously a thing to drop in streamlined design to reduce the cost. Unlikely to happen now as they are the star of the show, but eventually this is inevitable as it only makes sense.

I am really tired of all these threads 3800/4800/C50/C40. A1H, A10H, 6800H/C30 - again too many options, especially if one is looking for 13ch. All the same in their own category for the most part but so many people spend so much time giving it though.

Very true, can't imagine that they didn't see cost reduction and efficiency gain by streaming lining their product line. you name 7 models already, without even touching the entry level models and Marantz slim line models, no other AV manufacturers offer that many!! Not even Sony lol..
