I tried that once, in Maryland, while visiting a friend's family, who were getting a group photo taken in some Department store, which had a big rack of AOL CD's there for you to take home and stuff in your PC.

Bent one in half, more more more bend, finally POW!!! with shards flying all over the place.

Only a few of the attendees were properly amused.
