I am delighted with this phono preamplifier. I have tried it on eight different favorite records of varying degrees of wear and tear, and different genres (Neil Young, Deicide, Paula Abdul, Nazareth, Rotting Christ, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, REO Speedwagon, Kinks). In each case, I heard something that I did not hear on the standard phono preamplifier (Denon AVC s660h receiver, Denon DL-60 - 2.5mV head). Incredible clarity in the high frequencies, guitars and drums are inimitable. Really cool. The only thing in which the standard Denon phono preamplifier beats it is in suppressing scratches. Every scratch here sounds, I'll probably have to wash the stoves... Or sharpen the equalizer... But otherwise - it's absolutely gorgeous. Even when splitting the stereo into 5+1 (Multi Channel mode), the sound was super. By the way, even without the screen, it doesn't make much noise. I'll have to wall it up in steel, so that it's really classic. And glue it inside the player. Thanks to the genius Nikolai Sukhov, whose books we, students of the Faculty of Electronics and Technology of the KPI, read back in the 90s! This phono preamplifier is magical!
PS. It's from here
PPS. And to combat clicks from scratches, the best device would be this Analog record click suppressor, developed by specialists from the A.S. Bogatyrev laboratory (+ bonus: a simplified version from LinsleyHood)
