There's an intermittent issue with track switching and crossfade. It's been a bugger.

I think track switching and crossfade audible glitches are solved. Once in great while there's still the odd glitch, but there's only so much that can be done within a browser. Gory details here.

Ok so one of those tracks has some peak distortion. I assume that's not the fault of the cartridge?

Interesting - using AirPod Pro 3 the mistracking is plain as day, however with my DCA Expanse via RME ADI-2 Pro FS R it's quite difficult to distinguish that between the two cartridges.

The difference was pretty easily distinguishable with my AirPods Max. Right at the top of the bridge, ~5 seconds in. Didn’t really bother going beyond that, actually.

Did some work on the Staircase test. Below is with real audio - Reference and 10 levels that are DAC/ADC loopback generations 10, 20, 30... 100.

DBT — Double-Blind Listening Tests

Uncompressed the audio is about 230MB, so this *should* work within browser tab memory limits on mobile devices. I added a pre-test card that lets you listen to the reference and worst-case test stimulus freely before starting the test. The progress bar will show the minimum trials left to complete the test, but as it's adaptive this will grow depending on how you're doing.
