Andrew Quint Reviews the Unique BACCH-SP Stereo Purifier

Nobody uses crosstalk cancellation while recording, mixing or mastering, so what you hear will NOT be what the artist, producer heard.
You know so little. The AmbiophonicsDSP itself was developed by a world famous audio engineer.

If they use it the better the recordings will be and even if they don’t you still hear better separation and details. Looks like many should be deaf to listen to Beethoven’s later years compositions since he was deaf.

Great, another expert on recording whos never mixed anything. What part of my statement is wrong? I know no one uses it mixing. I don't care who made it. I see you like using the "jazz hall" effect:
"My system is based on Ambiophonics Interaural Crosstalk cancellation and domestic concert hall. The system consists of 30 ambiance speakers recreating reverberation of real concert hall/ other halls"

Oh… another expert on recording. OK good for you. Feel proud to share your albums here.

For those uninitiated …

Why dont you share your recording experience first.
The best endorsement you could find is from BSaudio? Sorry I don't encourage BSaudio or there snake oil.

I donned an aluminum hat while reading this thread. Could someone explain 20k for this? Is it more better than the tall thing with orbs marketed by Synergistic Research?

Shoot the messenger! That’s your motto. Looks like Chesky is not good enough for you. If you google you can find your own Canadian mastering engineer and audio samples. Good luck!

How does taking a mix and putting it thru an effects box make it more accurate? Is it closer to what the mastering engineer heard? No. Not much different than using the "Jazz Hall" effect in your AVR.
You want accurate spatial cues listen to a 5.1 channel mix thru a 5.1 channel system.
It makes the playback more accurate by preserving much of the channel separation that was on the original recording and lost to speaker/room cross talk. If you are concerned about hearing what the mastering engineer heard that would require matching the monitors and control room for each recording. It’s quite different than the “jazz Hall effect” on any avc

He's a classic Dunning-Kruger. He doesn't understand what BACCH does, thinks it is some kind of sound effect. If anybody is interested, there are a few write-ups on BACCH technology in Archimago's blog here and here, and more info on Theoretica's website about how it works. There is also an easy to digest wikipedia article. Plenty of resources to look at. There is real science involved, this is not some mere effects plugin.

BACCH is much more scientific and evidence based than almost every other audio “tweek.”

A lot of misinformed folks out there.
Given Floyd Toole’s status on this forum it doesn’t help that he offered an opinion on the BACCH that was by his own admission biased not the mention he has never tested nor even auditioned it himself.

It would be fun and enlightening to do a blind shootout between the best HK based speaker designs in a Dolby Atmos setup vs the BACCH using Dr. Choueiri’s reference speakers in a properly treated room.

Of course such a shoot out would involve some negotiation over source material.

In one of my tech support calls with Dr. Choueiri he told me about a full reference atmos setup that recreate using BACCH for recording engineers. Apparently the recording engineer couldn’t tell BACCH was running and not the atmos. I plan to buy the usb audio version of the Audiopraise Vanity pro as it will extract 8 channels of digital audio from hdmi surround sources. I want to use this to model surround with BACCH. Basically a Smyth realizer over 2 speakers. It will also help me integrate BACCH into my home theater set up.

Dr Choueiri also gave me permission to give his contact information to Amir(which I did) so he could test BACCH himself. I would love to hear Amir’s thoughts on BACCH.

Some months ago Amir confirmed on another thread that he had been in contact with Dr. Choueiri about testing BACCH. I haven't heard anything about it since.

I am very much interested to know how BACCH is more scientific. Besides Choueiri’s technical papers, is there actual measuring of frequency response of BACCH?
I assume you are not actually asking questions out of intellectual curiosity.

Previously, someone here posted the frequency response showing over 20 dB attenuation. When I asked if it was actual measurement, he told it was simulation. I am just curious if there’s one actually exist for my curios mind.
