As strange as it may sound today, in the late '70s ARC was actually thinking of abandoning tubes for their SS Analog Module thing. Harry Pearson put a stop to that, and the company went back to the future soon thereafter. I'm guessing the current company would rather everyone forget that part of their history. But for those with old units in their closets, a substitute part might be of interest.
