Amps next to air conditioner? Is this okay?

My air conditioner blows cold air directly above my two mono block amps. One of them gets kind of cold to the touch. Is this a problem? I don’t want to move them if I don’t have to.

Seems it would help with cooling the amps, unless it causes hum or is blowing a ton of dust into the amp vents. No doubt background noise for you seems not to be a issue Heat and dust are the amps enemy, same issue really, load the amp with a 2 year dust blanket inside (comming from the AC.) and it will retain heat.

If the tops come easy there are top vents that may fill with dust. Unplug after a month, no huge dust, go 3 months to see if it's a issue. IF THERE IS A ISSUE, TOP OFF, UNPLUG, LET IT COOL DOWN AND BLOW IT OUT WITH CANNED AIR. CANED AIR IS FREEZING, IF BLOWN INTO A HOT AMP THE COLD HITTING THE HOT CIRCUITS COULD BREAK A CONNECTION

SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS, THEY GOT STUCK AT THE END AND DID NOT WANT TO REBOOT

I dislike the noise but I have no choice in the summer.

Window AC units do vent condensation on the coils. Make sure they are not releasing on your amps. Otherwise it seems fine to me.

Edit: typically window units have a valve out the back that drains the condensation and it can be enough to cause an issue if plugged and were to drain out of the front the unit onto your amps in that proximity. So long as everything is working you should be fine.

I understand that. Sometimes if I really want to see a movie or listen to music I max the AC a few hours before, drop it to 70f and turn it off till the movies over. I actually wear a hoddie and ditch it as the room heats. AC is in the next room doors shut so it's not a issue unless it's something I can't wait to see or hear

Just make sure the set point isn't the dew point.
