Hello friends, I would like to know your opinion about these two devices. I need something to connect two amplifiers to a pair of speakers, and be able to switch between them.

A few questions:

1. Which of the two would be best?

2. Would there be a lot of loss of quality using these devices?

3. If you have any suggestions for other models, that would be great.

Thank you.

Do you need/want a VU meter?

If you have 2 amps and 2 pairs of speakers, this is probably your best bet. I have one and it works perfectly. It "breaks before it makes" so no danger of shorting anything. The wiring seems pretty good, though unlikely to be as good as your chosen speaker cable. It's rather light in weight so pressing a button tends to move the whole unit, but that's easily overcome

I'm sure you can get this switcher in other countries, but perhaps not under Beresford. Try searching TC-7220

Just for your info, in Japan, precision HiFi grade SP selectors, AMP selectors, Line-level selectors, are still available also from Audio Design Co., Ltd.
I do not know availability of their products outside of Japan, but if you would be seriously interested, you would please contact with the company.
Their online shop:

SP Selectors:

AMP-SP Selectors:

RCA Line-level Selector:

XLR Balanced Line-level Selectors:

Dual Line RCA Line-level Selector:

They seem simple non-magnetic-susceptible precision rotary switch mechanism, no electromagnetic relay nor off-on delay circuit included, I believe.
So, in case if we would use them, we would better to minimize the gain/volume of amplifiers.

(The power amplifier DCPW-240 by the same company has been highly rewarded at least in Japan: - https://audiodesign.co.jp/amp/DCPW-240)

One I used was reviewed here: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...“hifi-audio-power-switcher”-a-b-switch.41795/

It worked for me when I had two amplifiers and one pair of speakers.
