Hi all,

I wanted advice on what budget amp ($100-$200, but willing to be flexible) will help drive my new speakers. Given that the ceramic minis have a 4 ohm nominal impedance and sensitive of 84 dB, what 2.1 amp will drive these speakers? I’m listening nearfield at my desk/computer (2-3 ft away) and would like for the amp to have a sub out for convenience (paired with RSL Speedwoofer 10s mkii). I need it to be small (more than likely class D) and some that I’ve been looking at were:

Aiyama D03
loxjie A30
SMSL SA300

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

How far do you sit from them, as Erin noted an average sensitivity of 82.5db? You just need to calculate that and the distance and go from there.

This fits within budget offers over 100W @4R, with sub-out;

I’m going to be sitting 2 to 3 feet away from the speakers. They’ll be sitting at my desktop while I’m using my computer

How much power do you want?
To be honest, I’m not quite sure. I’m going to be almost next to the speakers so I just want enough to hear when I’m sitting next to it. I’m new to hifi and not sure about all the preferences. How much power would you say I need if I’m next to my speakers?

I like the Loxjie A30 the most of the three amps you're looking at. But, at twice the price is the WiiM Amp. Which with its parametric EQ it could help you integrate a subwoofer better. Unfortunately, with it you lose headphone connectivity. Congrats on the Philharmonic Ceramic Minis.

You can currently get the Wiim Amp renewed on ebay for $209. Or, if those are sold out or you want new, $239 on Amazon for Black Friday. I'd go with that, given its included parametric EQ, room correction, and other features you won't get with other amps. If none of those features are important to you (all audio will be going through your computer and you'll use EQ software, for example) then Loxjie A30 looks good.

I have multiple sets of ceramic minis (my favorite under $1k bang for the buck speaker) and they do not need massive power unless you are far away at high high decibels. Any of those amps will be fine.

I like the Wiim amp suggestion.

As a couple of others have mentioned, and with black Friday/cyber Monday sales, the WiiM would be my choice for the feature set.
