What good can come from your tariff thread? I see nothing. Please stop.

It isn't based upon any facts. Just conjecture about what the effects might be. It isn't based upon any audio science. You are literally SHOOTING YOURSELF IN THE FOOT.

I'm promoting no pro tariff or anti-tariff view. Just noting that no good is coming from your tariff postings. That no aspect of tariffs is AUDIO SCIENCE. It has no place here. Your forum, your rules, but you are doing yourself no favors here with the tariff thread which is closed to any comment by anyone other than you.

Also, as mentioned elsewhere, the tariff situation may well mean that we see little new testing and reviews by Amir.

A fairly big part of the site and why we are here, I would suggest.
Very unfortunate.

(That's it. No more tariff sh@t from me! )

I also don't like it, mostly because its a monologue. (no comments allowed)

One of the advantages of being a wealthy tech oligarch is that you can own your own social media channel and say what you want when you want and no one gets to challenge your opinions ...

This was brought up in another thread. I think the response was 'Just don't read it.'

I'd be worried too if my source of income was on the line. I cannot blame our host for his worries: it takes a lifetime of consistent good decisions to manage a job and a couple bad decisions (not even his!) to ruin years of work.

Absolutely agree. I don't think political manifestos have any place on an Audio Science forum. The fact that it's 1) pinned and 2) locked from comments just makes it even worse.

And for the record, I’m not even addressing whether I’m for or against the topic itself -that’s not the point.

Audio-only, if stuff don't back up we forget reviews from everywhere else than US.
(except the ones companies will gladly pay for as I suspect, but this creates an "unfair" game )

So I can get Amir's frustration and his need to vet.

On the other hand we like hobby forums as a free politics and shit oasis (although many forums have similar threads) so it would be better to stay clear from all this mess.
But as anything else here, Amir's house, Amir's rules.

Amir's speech is legitimate, and in any case he is the master of the house, but I don't understand the point of posting on one side but blocking the discussion on the other. If the topic can be discussed then everyone should be able to participate in the discussion (if it remains civil). A thread like this without any possibility of discussion is just a personal outburst, understandable but I don't know how useful it is

I kind of agree, but I like to know Amir's opinion as well. It's his site and conveying this message is what he thinks he can do to make the world a better place. I would have done the same, falling into the same contradictions.

You have been heard. It is 3 am and I want to get some sleep now. Please don't create more threads like this. It will have zero impact on me.
