Am I doing this right? (USB DAC Question - AQ Dragonfly)

Hello,

Questions:
Should I set the sample rate higher?
Also, does anyone know what sample rate Spotify streams their music at when the "Very High" option is selected?

Background Info:
I currently have an Audio Quest Dragonfly DAC (Black v1.5) connected to my computer (Windows 10).

I have the "AQ Device Manager" installed with the latest firmware available (1.07)

I use Spotify for 90% of my music listening (YouTube being the other 10%). I have Spotify setup to stream music at it's highest possible quality (Very High) though it's internal settings.

The DAC is currently setup to output at the default "24bit, 44100 Hz" level (Green).

Set your DAC to 16/44.1.

Spotify provides a compressed data stream that expands to 16-bit, 44100 Hz, no matter the Quality Option selected.
The latter just affects how much the data is compressed prior to your receiving it.

I’m pretty sure 24/44.1 would be the same as 16/44.1 but with trailing zeros. So 24/44.1 is perfectly fine.

Also true that zero padding has zero effect in this case.
