Hi Forum,
i thought before i spent 200 bucks on a Topping D10s + Soundblaster AE-5 i ask here if somebody sees an alternative.
Currently i have a Soundblaster Z, that is not that good rated here in the test. Soundblaste AE-5 seems a lot better.
Connected to it is a pair of active speakers https://www.nubert.de/downloads/nubox-a-125-manual.pdf
Additionally as headset i have a Philips Fidelio X2, combined with a V-MODA BoomPro Microphone.
As the Active speakers have only one optical TOSLINK and one Cinch-SPDIF port, it would be nice to have an upgrade for my Soundblaster with a Cinch-SPDIF out for the active speaker and a 3.5mm port for headset TRRS (or 2x 3.5mm if microphone and headphone is split). This way i could connect a chromecast audio via optical TOSLINK and the PC via SPDIF Cinch Port to the active speaker.
One option would be Topping D10s for USB-> SPDIF to active speaker + Soundblaster AE-5 for the Headset.
Any suggestions for a diffent device ?
D10s is 99€ , Soundblaster AE-5 is 115€ .. but if there is a better option, 400€ would be fine too.
