Somehow I trust 3e aren't going to do what SMSL did, but this one might be their first attempt and so all IFs & BUTs might be there as usual.

One common question you are going to get might be if the new GaN amplifier will have higher power output than 3e/Alsozone TPA3255 amplifiers.

I’m not so sure about that... have you read the experimental comparison(based on measurements) between GaN and MOSFETs—which, incidentally, was shared by Buckeye and other manufacturers? Why do you think Hypex hasn't switched to GaN?

Nevertheless GaN maybe is the future.

The A7 and PAM158 only feature GaN power supplies.... The Audio modules themselves are therefore not affected.

I forgot to share this, but the YJCO D816 amplifier features dual ACM8816 GaN amplifier chips and is already a competitor to the TPA325X series.
They currently cost $120. (no PSU)
