Good morning, one of the problems with the Eversolo Play is that it doesn't have a pre-out. Does anyone know how to do this? Could the USB be used as an output? I'd like to have more amplification. Do you have any of these small ones from Douk or another good brand that could do this?
Yes, I do that ..Play to Topping E70 via USB

Thanks for showing, I really hadn't seen it... I think it's the age... lol. Now it would be a recommendation of some DAC, Amplifier to use this output.
I don't know why you would buy an all in one unit just to use it as a streamer?
There are hundreds of DAC and amplifier options.

I think no based on a quick search, but does this one have loudness compensation?

So, the Eversolo Play is great, the sound quality is excellent, but I think it needs a little more amplification. I have a Douk A5 Pro in another location, with two speakers, exactly the same in both systems, two BW 200s (old ones that are over 30 years old), and they play perfectly. What I feel is that the Douk has a stronger tone than the Eversolo. I haven't found any volume compensation... if you can give me any suggestions, thank you.

I haven't found any volume compensation.
Do You need any? If You do not drive any amplifyer into clipping there is no need for more power.
Or am I misunderstanding?

I feel like the Eversolo Play's amplification is weaker than I expected, I think it has 60 watts. While the Douk A5 Pro delivers much more power.

What do You need of amplification? I only use 1 or 2 percent of my purify amplifier.

Well, maybe I'm not quite understanding what you mean by 1% or 2%. The fact is that when you listen to something like 80 to 90 decibels, the Eversolo's volume knob practically reaches almost 90%. Initially, even 50% volume is practically a very, very low sound.

I currently have an old DUNE HD and want to upgrade. Should I buy it?

I've been experimenting with replacing my wiim ultra with the play. First impressions are good. I much prefer the UI and the HDMI implementation seems better (no CEC odd behavior). Here are some things that I'm missing, that I hope they can add in software.

-No presets. You can "favorite" content from music services, but I'd like to be able to choose input, screen UI, volume level, etc.
-Screen saver that can't be turned off even when music is playing... the max time to start is 3 hours, and then you'll get a clock or a black screen instead of your album art.
-Not much in the way of multi-room. You can group multiple Plays but I'm not buying one for a kitchen or bathroom. Hope they can add smart speaker support or a small wiim mini-esque streamer to make this easier.
-No Alexa integration. This is a bummer. I'm currently experimenting with a wiim mini plugged into the optical in of the play to allow voice control and multi room, but it's a not exactly seamless and you lose album art display, though you can still use the spectrum/VU meters.
-No auto sensing of inputs besides HDMI (which seems to work flawlessly when I turn on the TV, even if music is streaming).

Would be great if they released a cheaper version without the amp for those of us with powered speakers. My speaker terminals look very lonely...

Good day!
Problems with Eversolo Play have been discovered. When connected via optical cable, noise appears in the speakers when an audio signal is received from the source. In addition to the useful signal, the noise is accompanied by a constant crackling in the speakers. When switching to the analog input (even without physically connecting the source), the noise in the speakers is even louder.

A simple way to improve the cooling of the Eversolo Play is to extend the feet of the unit to increase the air space beneath it. The Play has a substantial aluminum heatsink that runs the full length and width of its bottom however its squat design limits air flow. Extending the Play's feet would increase the the air space beneath the Play, enabling the heatsink to operate more effectively by improving air circulation and heat convection.

Can you confirm for me that the Play cannot output to Digital Coax and use the Sub Out at the same time?
I need to run coax to my Dynaudio XD 20 actives while using the Sub out for, well, a sub.
I saw on a youtube video that it cant, but the Ultra can??

Sorry I don't have a sub to test it. Maybe check the eversolo forums, I'm pretty sure I've seen someone post about it there.

When will Amir review the Play? :)
What Hifi destroyed it.
I already bought it and I like it a lot, it drives a pair of Harbeth p3esr XD in very nearfiled position (80cm) in a desktop accommodation
