All amplifiers do not sound the same

The FR curve can be adjusted with EQ and many do that already, why would it be necessary to do that with the amplifier?

As for negative feedback maybe I am wrong but aren't claims that negative feedback reduces sound quality entirely anecdotal? Is there any evidence that it can do that?

A certain segment of the audio business makes bank on catering to such foolish notions. Deliberately reducing negative feedback increases distortion, which many an audiophool believes can make for a better listening experience.

The subjective community posted this BS in an attempt to discredit the objective community, claiming it was our position.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
What is true is that amplifier design has been a solved issue for a number of decades now when they are built to modern standards.

Thankyou for that! Here I was wondering why so many here were kicking own goals saying that provided that conditions 1. 2. 3 etc are satisfied, there is no difference.

Yeah, by definition only.

Without wishing to provide a comment one way or the other, this reminds me of what was known as "doing a Moby" from a decade ago or so, all remnants of which are now deleted from the interloops.

Mr Moby encouraged his disciples to "preach" really extreme but believable BS and do so under the banner of being a conservative. It sort of worked for a while until they got sprung for similar reasons that I was scratching my own head about this thread and a recent one of a similar nature.

I am only angry because it cost me so many years of my life. Those are limited. I want them back

Amanita Muscaria will definitely make all amps sound "different"...

Caterpillar -- you might need to brush up on your Lewis Carroll... ;)
Jaberwocky... I was obviously quoting "The Black Queen... Grace Slick... (not Lewis Carroll). Any deviation from the source material is poetic license on the part of all travelers down the rabbit hole... on a tour bus named "Further".

"The bus came by and I got on, that's when it all began. There was Cowboy Neal at the wheel of the bus to never never land."

Yes... as well as making sounds look differently too. I wonder if the AP could be tweaked to test for "sound to color resolution" ?

I was just trying to give the OP a scientific reason for amps sounding differently... psychedelics is a viable alibi (one which I continue to use for my daily questioning of reality)... lol. Also, it sounds like he's got some anger issues... which can be addressed with the same... "two birds... one tone".

I think were done here. OP has a response and too many existing comparable threads.
