I think his clearance to do so has since been revoked so not sure that ever happened. Even so this is still hearsay since he has not seen aliens, alive or dead, or their craft or wreckage therof himself and as far as I'm aware does not claim to have.

His clearances were reinstated, multiple SCIF meetings have taken place before they were removed I believe, and most importantly, his complaint filed was accepted as valid by the IG a few years ago. That's a big deal. Information is being withheld illegally to Congress, and that's been the case, demonstrated repeatedly by various, and now Grush is following the required procedures to expose it, being very careful not to expose what would get his access removed. I don't think he is lying but again, he has personally seen no direct evidence i.e aliens or alien artifacts.

I think that's a fair assessment, but also a different issue from claims made here. I personally find others within the sphere more interesting and compelling, but I don't think any of them as important as Grush in terms of who he is and his background.

Like you I'm mildly intrigued by the whole thing, I'm not in the 'It's all nonsense, case closed' group; but I think we should adopt the highest level of scepticism with regard to any and all claims.

That's been my position all along, but open to discussion of the possibilities that exist. I think I have been very clear on that. Only major difference is, I'm not mildly interested, I'm very interested, and have been for decades.

Ok, clear about what exactly? Since you know and have done your research you can just save us all the time and say the specific parts.

@WillBrink this exchange has become too heated and I apologize for that. Bottom line - I don't think you're stupid, my beef is that what I hear from Grusch (and everyone) seems too evasive and short on detail to be what you and I both want it to be.

In that light I see his kind of statement to be cynically exploiting sincere hope on the part of people like yourself in particular, and I assume it's to achieve a selfish aim for himself or a nefarious one for the government. And I think that sucks!

Maybe he really did confirm the existence of aliens. But where you say "where there's smoke, there's fire", I say "where there's smoke there's probably someone running an insurance scam". Maybe you're too credulous, maybe I'm too cynical, but I think we are both hoping this apparent momentum around disclosure amounts to something and we find out sooner rather than later.

He didn't confirm anything, but he was specific about the Q's asked within his capability to do so and not lose his clearances (which he did anyway, and had them reinstated after much BS and drama) and possibly sent to prison. That's one effective method they lock up any information. You get read into a program and sign NDA's that make it very clear of the consequences of breaking them. Unlike past whistle blowers (and AG from the DOD accepted that he is a legit whistle blower and his complaint filed valid) he and others are attempting to do it within the legal channels within the system itself. That's not been done before, and it's so how/why we get to listen to endless and annoying "I can't answer that here, but maybe in a SCIF" type responses from him and some others. You do it within the system it's intended to be damn near impossible to disclose anything, do it outside the system, and you never work again at the best, end up in prison at worst, etc. Grusch was able to open that crack in the armor because he exposed they're are lying to Congress, and that's not covered by an NDA under NS. He can accurately claim he's doing his job under the oath he took to expose that.

Will we get the hard answers we want in our life time? I don't know, but if you're old enough and been following the topic long enough, that we are where we are now, Congressional hearings, high level scientists taking the topic seriously, etc, etc, it's truly astonishing.
