All About UFO's

We're grieving about the Alexandrian Library burned by the enemies. But ask who burned the Library of Pergamum who was equal or greater.
We don't have to grieve much when historical details, when there are any, are not that detailed and difficult (or impossible) to verify.

What is the sole thing that has outlasted stone, tyranny, brutality, etc?
Our stories.
A little changed, a little more suitable sometimes, simple as 30,000 years old cave art or complex as a Rachmaninoff .

Excuse me if I'm grieving about these lost stories even if it's just that and not solid science.

I went a little back in history than that, Babylonians, etc.
But yes.

The worst enemy of the society in my book are not "unknown" phenomena but a very well known one:
It's called the "useful idiot" in some cultures and the "newfound faith zealot" to others.
Often combined.

As long as the power of science and knowledge has been recognized, was kept as the utmost value.

People prefer to burn the work of centuries than delivering it to others.
What is your source that the library contents were lost?

Mostly fire, that's a good witness.
I would certainly prefer for some to emerge though, blueprints of the Temple of Artemis for example could become handy to someone wanting to built something really great (at all metrics).

(I know we short of have them, by the ruins, it's the mindset that's missing, same with the Temple of Hathor at Dendera too, to be fair)

We read about all these things and we think that we would maybe feel small in front of them.
Nope, at the contrary, we feel ascended the moment we're there as long as we are people of the world and we have traveled enough to know how people can be both bitter and small and bigger than life and beautiful.
It's the small us usually who baptize such great works as god-made and nonsense. It's people-made, plain and simple.

No source. No link. You made it up.

I’ve looked for a source, and the ones I found say the manuscripts were removed.

I'm glad then, they supposedly had the best copies of the Homeric works, can you point me to them?

FWIW, Avi Loeb's opinion

Seems a reasonable assessment without any additional info and context. I will say how the object behaves after being struck and the behavior of the objects from it seem unusual to me, but that may simply be visual artifacts. Needs professional level analysis.

I think with the size and quantity of solar systems and such that it's obvious that aliens will exist. Whether they are friendly or not remainds to be be seem Stephen Hawking warned against them though and that causes me concern.
For the purpose of speculating about civilizations, there is exactly one known solar system.

Out of thousands of exoplanets, not one is like earth and has a yellow sun.

And assuming we find an actual earthlike planet, there is the problem of evolutionary history, the timing of catastrophes,
And the problem of simultaneity.

I could be overly pessimistic, but I doubt it.

That’s isn’t exactly a fair assessment. Finding small exoplanets orbiting yellow suns is simply a much harder undertaking. So it’s not that they are not there, we just lack the equipment to find them.

Details are emerging from channels with knowledge of the weapons systems utilized on that UAP that are not UFO/UAP oriented channels, interesting analysis I thought. There's nothing really mysterious about the object taking the hit and surviving per se, due to the way that missile works, but still finds the object itself anomalous but gives possibilities on drones in use in the region. As expected, those drones have all manner of high def sensors and there's high def color vid some place and someone likely knows exactly what that UAP was:

We have a preliminary estimate of their frequency in the vicinity. I still think the denominator, for the frequency of planets wit an earthlike evolutionary history is extremely large. We may not be alone, but given the likelihood of simultaneity, we are effectively alone.

Frequency, not really.
Not really. Our current detection sample is extremely biased in favor of transits and radial velocity detections and both of those methods detect mostly large planets (usually "hot jupiters") in orbits very close to their parent star. The transit method is biased because the bigger and the closer the planet is the more detectable the light dip is. The radial velocity method (essentially blue/red shift in the spectrum of the host star) is biased in favour of large masses, again close to their home stars.

At this point, the vast majority of stars we see don't have detected exo-planets but we know, and regularly confirm, that planet formation is a standard feature of star formation.

Earthlike evolution: do we know much? Recent science may indicate that life started very early in conditions totally different from the current ones

From what we know, that is a much stronger argument, yes.

I think it is too early to tell. IF it is determined that life did form on Mars, and that life on Earth and life on Mars formed independently from one another, then it is plausible that life is common throughout the universe. Even if they are related, that could imply that panspermia is an actual phenomenon. Moreover, important constituants of life, e.g., organic molecules such as amino acids, are known to be present in primative metorites. Finally, we don't know how large is the universe. At a minimum, we estimate that there are at least 1 septillion (10^24) planets in the observable universe. That provides significant opportunity for life to form and develop, and Earth's history shows us that once life gets a foothold, it is extremely tenacious.

Nonetheless, if travel between stars is limited by the speed of light and there is no way around it (e.g., warping or bending of space, wormholes, other dimensions, etc.), then we probably are too far from other intelligent life to be able to interact with it, making us effectively alone in our tiny region. But, I don't doubt that there are other life forms out there, somewhere in our vast universe, also pondering the same questions.

I think life is common in the universe. Space seems to be full of the chemical precursors.

We are stardust. It seems possible that earth was seeded with precursors blown away by supernovas.

Maybe there are aliens on earth, and we are they.

Not exactly the same as FTL traveling spaceships.

Haha! ... maybe why almost everyone in these vids looks like an extra from Men in Black.

Edit: re the vid, an hour of ... what exactly? Do we discuss 'a beam of light lifting up 1500 pound cows' and subsequent cray-cray as if this actually happens?

A bit quiet here so time to catch up. So it appears the missile-shoots-wobbly-thing video dropped into the US Senate entertainment inquiry was a run-of-the-mill battlefield document. Only the semantic technicality of imprecise identification allows it to be thrown disingenuously into the UFO/UAP bucket: it isn't from outer space, its 'intelligence' isn't non-human, nor is it especially 'anomalous'. But it makes its way as grist-for-the-mill of YouTube click-mania, and allows Senators to distract from their constituents' more pressing issues. Working as designed.

Linda Moulton Howe was a frequent guest on the Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell. That was a fun show. I could turn that on my clock radio late at night and get some goosebumps.
