Most humans underestimate/cannot comprehend the vast size of the Milky Way galaxy, let alone the universe. The leap of technological knowledge required to come close to light speed is well, light years beyond where humans are at this point in time. The travel time from even moderately distanced stars is hundreds if not thousands of years and alien species, if they exist, would most likely send remote probes to explore local space. At this point we do not have proof of faster than light speed travel, so we need to use light years as the basic measurement.
Why even fly into a remote world's atmosphere when beings that technologically advanced could just orbit a planet and gather what they need from the relative safety of space ?
once travelling at certain speed is maintained constant at that speed , weightless zzero g no or nothing in resistance to slow down , of course do have to slow down or to have sensors way , way ahead of spacecraft to be able to navigate around any object in direct path or maybe itself travelling at different angle and may come inline with travelling spacecraft
so light - speed and at what speed , yes they be just as possibly frail as the species lifeforms on earth and , again what speed ? need to get a to b like in a year or less , i mean it be like watching actual wet paint drying , looking at empty expanding blackness with stars , galaxies with possible solar systems with maybe possible planets with neighbouring star/sun

voyagers make luxury rich persons sports car look like a snail , so will at light speed spacecraft be on the outer rim of the solar system in how long ? i don't know ? spacecraft could strike object in its path ? and let me stress , spacecraft needs to slow down if anything in its flight path , once slows down does its magic - bean light speed propulsion system then , light speeds it again as it has slowed down and therefore not travelling at light speed , see space isn't an easy task ,
voyagers dish is pointing back towards this solar system , it be of only little few more no years use till approx 2025 when all small amount of nuclear power that has powered the spacecrafts for almost near close 50 no years , staggeringly incredible
you and i will never see it , other than on daytime we see blue atmosphere by night we see the stars even thou stars are there in the daytime , just glared by star/sun light
does another planet have and no one knows , what type gravity , air , water species plants any type land formation all that is , i don't know . telescopes can't see they can only detect an object that appears to be orbiting around star/sun as sometimes there is darkness and other times oh , can see something so its something orbiting , well , well outside of solar system , galaxy and so therefore we will never ever get to actually land on it and send transmission back as there be on one to receive it , space program may change hands or go bankrupt or other ? would take hundreds to thousands or million or billion or trillion , as one knows just how large long wide , whatever the universe is
the spacecraft will be unmanned light speed , if ever possible , but not as of yet , well that's their problem not mine or yours for us to worry about its their problem solving
