If you're interested in medieval battleground history have a look around, they are extremely thorough and detailed about anything happening in the field.
Of course these stuff would have earthly explanations (at least the static ones and those with erratic behavior will remain to find out, etc)

I wouldn't dismiss the observations. But the explanations is a whole other field.

I’m all for speculative fiction really, but it somewhat dismays me when the great social media thonkers of our time use these imagined elements as planks of their backyard tree-houses, then present same as something more than playtime.



I may not make the cut as true believer, but The Mothman Prophecies rang a bell. Maybe on the bookshelf of an older relative? My grandmother enjoyed some fun reading, though her mainstay was more le Carré than sci-fi.

Keel introduced Mothman to the world in earlier books that I linked to -- but that's the one that, forever curiously to me, got made into a movie??? (A strange one, too)

I'm not sure I've ever even read it, or anything of his for that matter past Our Haunted Planet (1971). Why that is? Could be I turned 12 in 1972 and discovered...girls. ;>

I didn’t know about that Mothman film, I guess it exists because the book was an NYT bestseller? I often like strange. Sadly not on any of my streaming things, but several recent and likely B-grade Mothmen are on Tubi …

The film is interesting, it comes on broadcast TV occasionally.

I'd recommend reading the Wikipedia summary first though since the plot is totally incomprehensible from just watching.

It's only tangentially related to the 'real life' Mothman sightings.

This is relevant to the thread. A group of people deep into the UFO/UAP phenomena, some at the DOD, are convinced they are demonic. I'm not religious, but do not rule out such possibilities and it has some possible overlap with theories of Dr Vallee . BTW, that's one of the best channels on YT for all things big questions, be it physics, religion, etc, etc:
