All About UFO's

During the late 70s I think 1978 autumn. Stoke on trent uk.

I would walk to work along an isolated country lane, the lane had small farms often termed smallholdings.
I remember talking to a farmer who would cut the meadows next to his farm

One day we got talking and he told me about his sighting of an object which travelled over our village,

He said it was about the size of a car brushed alloy black, it had a blue translucent bottom.

It came down around 300m from where he stood

And around 3 feet from the ground

Green laser lights scanned the ground as it slowly proceeded along the field

It then shot off like a bullet.

He was interviewed about it.

Really nice guy

No nonsense type.

I believe him totally.

Was he the only witness?

Was he the only witness?
He witnessed the actual craft, but others south of the village reported seeing an object in the sky that day.
I was published at the time.
There was a few sightings of triangular objects that month.
My sister was pushing her daughter in a buggy and saw a black triangle in the sky the object was stationary.
That was a week before mr Johnson farm... saw that craft in the field.

That farmer was level headed guy lived there all his life, his recollection never changed.

The black triangles are a very common shape seen. Some are very large. A buddy of mine and his team saw one in the desert during Iraq war one. Obviously, a witness who knows what a chopper, balloon, etc looks like.

Filmed in my nearest Scottish city of Glasgow, and up into Glen Coe…..quite a disturbing film but one of my fave’s, excellent soundtrack by mica Levi as well.
The liquification of Scottish Incels is the most pressing issue of our time!

For those interested in history of where the concept became the public phenomenon, a recording with the man who actually coined the term "flying saucers" and others via the National Archives. It's interesting to reference against where things sit now. A death took place during one event:

Every incel should be liquified, but I’d make an exception and place the tates at the head of the queue, followed by all the YouTube/instagraam/tik tok rage baiters that appear to broadcast from their mothers basement

Scientist and Engineer Achieve Breakthrough in Spacetime Distortion, Bringing Warp Drive Closer to Reality

A revolutionary study published in The European Journal of Engineering and Technology Research Today confirms the laboratory generation of gravitational waves, marking a significant leap toward warp drive capabilities and advanced propulsion systems. Dr. Chance Glenn, a scientist and engineer at Morningbird Space Corporation and Alabama A&M University, has successfully demonstrated the creation of spacetime distortions using high-energy density fields generated by electrically driven spark gaps.

In his paper, "Experimental Spacetime Distortion: Generating Gravitational Waves in the Laboratory" Dr. Glenn details the experimental methodology and findings, which include the observation of interferometer fringe movement correlated with spark power, distance from the laser, spark/laser orientation, and pulse repetition frequency. These results suggest the production and propagation of gravitational waves, a phenomenon previously thought to be achievable only through cosmological events.

"This research opens up entirely new possibilities for space exploration and beyond," says Dr. Glenn. "By demonstrating the ability to generate gravitational waves in a controlled laboratory setting, we are taking a crucial step towards realizing warp drive technology and other groundbreaking applications, including warp speed space travel."The study also introduces the concept of "gwavelets" phased arrays, a novel approach to manipulating gravitational waves for advanced technologies.

We have a different threshold for what constitutes evidence, I think that is the main sticking point in this thread to be honest.
The problem with the phenomenon, but I can still be entertained by science fiction :) Unbiased research is good, not necessarily neutral, so an opinion is in order. For example, I was entertained by Jessie Roestenberg who saw very beautiful people with long golden hair in what looked like a huge Mexican hat in England, 1954:

Only ten miles south of me, that.

Strange as hell!

WOW I remember this.
it was in the 50s only a few miles from where i live.
cool

“It’s a famous sighting, one of the best-known early UK cases, but few know that her family experienced at least six UFO sightings, with Jessie being involved in all but one. Like her first, most of the additional sightings involved multiple witnesses…

Gavin Gibbons was not a detached journalist or scientific observer - he became part of the story. Gibbons spoke Mr. Roestenburg’s native language, Dutch, and it drew them closer, and he became friends with the Roestenburgs, making frequent visits to their home, educating and advising them on the topic of UFOs. In the narrative, he introduces Mr. Roestenburg first and regards it as Tony’s story, not Jessie’s…

According to UFO researcher Wilfred Daniels, Mrs. Roestenburg had for years felt she was a “psychic,” and that for a number of hours prior to the “space ship appearance,” she had a “queer feeling” something was about to happen, at least that was her peculiar claim. Years before during a seance a medium directed a comment to Mrs. Roestenburg, pronouncing her a psychic of considerable ability, a compliment she never forgot. While denying she was a full-blown spiritualist, Mrs. Roestenburg said she did experience on one occasion a “spirit manifestation of the spectral sort.” Her aunt, she admitted, was a practising “psychic healer.”

Although the Roestenburg children were involved in several of the UFO sightings, they were treated as bystanders in the news coverage and UFO literature. Gavin Gibbons played with the children in his visits with the family and talked to them about the events. At the time, Karin was two and inside, but Anthony Jr. , eight, and Ronald, six, were outside and as close to the spacemen in the UFO as Jessie. A year or so later, somewhat incredibly,Gibbons noted it was “an experience now largely forgotten by the children.” If they’ve commented on the family’s UFO sightings as adults, I’ve been unable to locate a credible source. Beyond Gibbons book, there seems to be nothing recording Tony Roestenburg’s sightings. Only Jessie’s story really lives to carry on.”

This is cool, it seems they got results in line with GR, but I feel like the applications proposed by the author seem to undermine the credibility. Gravitational waves dissipate energy (I've read it's quite a lot in the case of black hole mergers) so I don't think there is a "free lunch" in terms of using this for propulsion or anything else.

According to the paper the energy density they were using was 2.4 GJ/m3 which produced a small measurable effect... how do we set up macroscopic systems where we move this amount of energy around freely? I think this is an energy density comparable to a nuclear explosion...

I happened to notice this little tidbit from that noted bastion of high ethical and journalistic standards, Yahoo. ;)
Actually, I guess it's from something called Futurism, which may or may not be any better.

Countries with the most ufo related sightings:

The UK is higher even than the U.S. in that chart. Given some of the comments earlier in this thread from a couple of members from the UK, that is pure comedy. :p

My proof.
As an avid science fiction reader, i am rather dissatisfied with the laws of physics.
