All About UFO's

There's no lack of evidence for the UFO phenomena however.

We have a different threshold for what constitutes evidence, I think that is the main sticking point in this thread to be honest.

That, and the desire of some to heavily doubt established science and protocols yet not apply that same level of scrutiny when it comes to incentivised YouTubers.

If I were representing a defendent in court, and the primary evidence was witness testimony, I would want to load the jury with those participating in this thread. :)

Unless aliens have a time share that’s only valid in the US, it is difficult to imagine that every country on Earth, every government whether stable or unstable, every government official on Earth with some form of a security clearance, has managed to keep this secret so well. We have had flight for about 122 years and “manned spacecraft” for over 60 years. No death bed revelations providing convincing evidence. No leaks providing convincing evidence. Either humans are extremely well disciplined at keeping secrets or their brains are being altered so they can’t successfully communicate what they’ve experienced.

And now we have billions of people walking around the Earth with a journalism studio in their hand documenting every thing they see, hear, feel, and eat. We have an explosion of cameras and surveillance systems monitoring our land, sea, and air. We have countless numbers of aircraft and people flying around the planet day and night. We have a cultural obsession with going “viral” and becoming famous overnight. But not one person has provided convincing documentation. Meanwhile, those grainy blurry snapshots of Bigfoot and Nessie are getting old and need to be updated. Instead we get lights in the sky over New Jersey produced by a diversity of human machinery, stars, and bright planets that somehow most people fail to notice in their normal daily lives until someone screams “invasion.”

I can't think of a bigger question I'd like an answer to before I die than if we are alone in the universe. That seems self evident to me, and I will give up all my audio gear if it means knowing the answer.
For me it's not a question of if a particular thing is out there. I just want to know more about whatever is out there, whether it be sentient, intelligent, or otherwise. In my lifetime I've been granted some great things, like a much higher detail image of Pluto than I ever would have expected. That's a treat that doesn't really change anything for me. But I'll take as many of those insights about our universe as I can get.

Your lack of curiosity about the universe and what beings may exist in it, is noted. Myself, that and other Qs have fascinated me since I was a kid, only grown stronger with age and time. That's it very possible some of the big Qs may be answered in my lifetime, is the most exciting thing I can possibly think of.
I'm curious right up to the point where I have to start paying for it. :)

That's a big question; how much is too much when it comes to paying for things like new telescopes and space probes.

The way I see it, the money saved would just vanish into the military-industrial complex anyway. They're not going to knock it off our tax bill. So we might as well have them.

To add, DOD funds a lot of that always interested in possible military applications too. NASA and DOD have been working together since NASA created. Those super secret spy sats, etc don't get up there on there own and space is the high ground we must keep ahead of.

I'm not so sure all other countries have tried to keep, whatever is the phenomena, a secret,e.g.:

EDIT: Also, see post #3970 by Audiofire.

this^

I reckon even if it were raised up on cable-lifters, the evidence threshold in this thread is still lower than a sighted non level-matched DAC test over on trustyourearsforum.com

re, the last question: How would we know?

Whether there was a UAP Event on Capitol Hill or Rep. Luna Announces Upcoming UAP Hearings, and other things he talks about in that vid? You can go confirm that easily enough.

Regardless of what constitutes sufficient evicence from individual perspectives, one thing is clear; there is a growing interest in this subject, not only on Capital Hill, but also in the general public. Just look at this thread. It started nearly two years ago and is going strong, now at 200 pages and nearly 4k posts.

But still no convincing evidence. If they know something, they sure are keeping it a secret.

From the Conclusion and Recommendations section:

The extraterrestrial hypothesis is far from the best scientific hypothesis. It certainly has not been categorically proven, but strong presumptions exist in its favor and if it is correct, it is loaded with consequences.

To be fair, most of those pages from comments from those who have strong positions and opinions, who have likley not done 15 minutes of investigation into the topic. Not sure we can, or at least should, view that as interest per se. But, it's no longer a fringe topic and getting attention from those communities (scientific, gov, etc) it should have been getting attention all along.

Better late than never!

I laid it out multiple times, that's how it is currently:

From the Conclusion and Recommendations section:
Also from that same section:

They demonstrate the almost certain physical reality of completely unknown flying objects with remarkable flight performances and noiselessness, apparently operated by intelligent [beings]. With their maneuvers, these flying objects considerably impress civilian and military pilots, who hesitate to speak [about them]. The fear of appearing ridiculous, alienated, or simply gullible is the principal reason for this reserve. Secret craft definitely of earthly origin (drones, stealth aircraft, etc.) can only explain a minority of cases. If we go back far enough in time, we clearly perceive the limits of this explanation.

Via new head of AARO at DOD/Pentagon:

“There are interesting cases that I — with my physics and engineering background and time in the [intelligence community] — I do not understand and I don’t know anybody else who understands,” Kosloski told reporters.

We will see what develops...
