All About UFO's

Yep - comparatively speaking it is just down the road to the chemist.

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Today's factoid:

Looking for Aliens?

To resolve a 1-meter object at 1 light year with visible light (550 nm),
a telescope mirror would need to be approximately 6.35 million
kilometers in diameter.

The whole dimethyl sulfide (DMS) is proof of alien life is way overblown:

What is dimethyl sulfide (DMS)?

There is a doubt about its presence.

Dimethyl sulfide (DMS) has been found on a lifeless rock:

The comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko contains the organic molecule dimethyl sulfide—ruling it out as a biosignature.

Organic chem and planetary atmospheres was a long time ago for me, but there's a whole host of other ways that organic molecules like this can form in atmospheres that are completely unlike ours.

That goes beyond facts and approaches fucts.

So about 4.5 x diameter of the sun. Or ~10^9 times bigger than the James Webb.

This clip is of an interview with Rep. Burlison discussing the crash retrieval program. He states that he has no doubt there is a crash retrieval program and craft are being studied. He also stated that whether it is extraterrestrial or non-human is yet to be seen.

He has no doubt?

I'm convinced.

The U.S. government has gone to great extent to recover wreckage debris of foreign adversaries, e.g., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glomar_Explorer

That was for a submarine. I don't doubt they have performed recovery operations for aircraft of foreign adversaries, and they probably still have procedures in place for doing so. It would not surprise me to learn that at least some of the supposed crashed "UFOs" recovered during the cold war actually were Soviet aircraft. Also, it would not surprise me to learn that at least some of the UFO lore was generated by counter intelligence operations to hide what they were doing. As Burlison stated, what really has been found is yet to be seen.

This video is an interview with Dr. Harald Malmgren. He was a presidential advisor to JFK, LBJ, Nixon and Ford. It is a very long interview. In it Malmgren discloses the reality of UFOs, and claims to have held UFO debris in his hands. The interview took place shortly before his death in February of this year.

Again, we have more stories without indisputable evidence. On the other hand, Malmgren was well entrenched in the Executive branch. Combining his disclosure with that of James Clapper, 4th Director of National Intelligence, the amount of the anectotal evidence from those very high in the U.S. government continues to increase. Make of it what you will.

anectotal evidence

Close to an oxymoron. Especially if not backed up by contemporaneous notes or other physical records. Especially from so long ago.

I would not be surprised that pieces of a debris field were from an unidentified source. Did they, at least, mention what material the debris consisted of, or is this just another National Intelligence story, where they never deceive or misrepresent the truth? This has all the earmarks of hogwash.

Something that fell from the sky during a nuclear test, which was not part of the bomb. The video goes into more details.

I find it interesting that there was a lot of complaining a while back about lack of first hand witnesses to the UFO debris, with the term hearsay being thrown around a lot. Now that former government employees/officials, who have held high positions in the U.S. government, are claiming to have first hand experience with the debris, they are being summarily dismissed without people even listening to what they have to say. We ask for first hand witnesses, but when they come out they are accused of fabricating stories by people who have not even heard the stories. Interesting.

Malmgren’s “I literally held UFO material” is a high level anecdotal briefing claim that matters because of who reported it but it has no declassified metallurgical data to confirm the debris composition and there were no references made in the deck logs about any unusual debris picked up outside of the missile. The test was conducted to see if it was a viable option to take out an ICBM, and I could see the US keeping this a secret if they put this to a test and actually took out one of our own ballistic missiles, especially in the midst of the Cold War and space race.

These are potentially extraordinary claims being made, and this new stuff adds very little to the party. It is just more of the same. We need evidence, so why can't these important, high-level people demand that we obtain some and not just talk the talk?
