Good compilation of vids that suggests some of the sightings are of the classic colored orb UFO/UAP. As always, in these time of CGI and AI, all vids must be examined for authenticity and context via witnesses. etc:

Here we have the problem - when I watch the first two and think - nothing unexplainable about them, I certainly lose any motivation to sit through another 22 minutes.

1- Easily a hobbyist drone - due to speed, probably not of the common "DJI" camera platform type - but easily a home built racing type.
2 - Looks to me like lens flare from a road network below the view of the camera. You even see some headlights from the road somewhere in the middle of that section. Pretty confident I could go out to the bridge over the M6 nearby, and create something similar with a phone camera.

I'm fairly confident the vast majority of "floating orb" video is lens flare - especially if they are night time shots - which they all seem to be.

And it seems to me the main problem with the current UFO hysteria (and hysteria is what it undoubtably is) is the unbelievable level of credulity being displayed by those pushing the story (or deliberate pouring of petrol on the fire).

The time lapse video starting 50 sec. into the main video is interesting. They are visible below the clouds, which rules out satellites. There are no navigation lights, which rules out commercial aircraft. I don't know what they are.

The image below from one of the videos he showed looks to me to be an aircraft with its landing lights turned on, probably getting ready to land.

He also spends much time playing the video we discussed yesterday and today where the object showed up on TCAS. As noted, I'm pretty sure that is one of ours (Boeing).

A news video I saw today discussed that some of the local police departments in NJ now are sending up their own drones to investigate the ones that are unidentified. I don't know how long that has been going on, but it could be at least partially responsible for the recent increase in drone sightings.

As @mhardy6647 mentioned earlier - Orson Welles' War Of The Worlds was set in New Jersey. The hope that with better availability of information sources, people would become less credulous sadly ignores the fallibility of us poor sacks of meat.

It's not a plane and it's not drones. But thankfully our alien visitors use the universally recognised port red/starboard green lighting protocol.

Just for fun I clipped this from the video - almost dead black apart from the lights.

Then I increased the exposure and upped the shadows in an editing app. You can fairly easily see we are looking up at the right rear side of the plane which is flying to the right of shot. Wings clearly visible, white lights on wing tips and tailplane, and the red blinking ones just under and slightly forward of the wings. I mean it even sounds like a plane FFS.

This isn't news - it's enemy action.

Now everything in the NJ sky with a light on it is being called a drone. The news media is eating this up, and they will contribute to the confusion as much as they can so long as it results in clicks and views. Some of the better images from early on probably are hopelessly buried amoung mounds of clutter. Even if there were no more drones flying at night, the Internet still will be inundated with blurry videos of planes, helicopters, stars and planets.

If an adversary decided to launch a drone attack on us, we are hopelessly unprepaired.
