Get one of the Storm Audio processors. They are the only ones to currently support Dirac Live Active Room Treatment. While not a total replacement for passive acoustic treatment it makes a big difference.

I would immediately rule out L-Acoustics. Crazy that a home theatre company is suggesting Soka speakers (miniature line array) + Syva sub (PA style with no deep bass) for this application. You want broader vertical coverage and bass extension to at least 20Hz.

The options from Alcon and Krix look reasonable, although it depends on their pricing. I would also be concerned about dynamic range of the surrounds, which is key for using Dirac ART. The LCR being more capable than the surrounds is not ideal in that scenario.

You didn't mention pricing, but I assume the Genelec 8361A + 8341A package is the most expensive. It would also be the highest performer in terms of sound quality, although SPL limited because they are studio monitors, not built for high efficiency.

Regardless of which option you pick, 2 subwoofers should be considered the bare minimum, 4 is ideal. You get higher peak output and better bass quality this way. The bass management in modern AV processors scales with subwoofer count.

I assume based on the brands mentioned you are in Australia. I would strongly consider going with KEF instead, doing Ci3160RLM-THX for the 9 ear level channels, and Ci200RS-THX for the ceiling channels. SVS SB-3000 or SB-4000 for the subwoofers. Hypex amps for the speakers.

Hi bro thanks for the reply . L-Acoustics are now in home cinema segment too. Yes Genelec 8361 +8341 is the most expensive among those. I am from India thank you for your suggestions regarding subwoofers and finally regarding KEF I have auditioned those but it didn’t attract me that much though they are good ones without any doubt.

Meyer is my favourite too but it is so expensive . I am not from US bro

It’s definitely more expensive outside the U.S. and just moderately expensive inside the U.S. since we do get discounts off full price.

Your choices are all good. L-Acoustics is great for the visual look otherwise I would go Genelec. I have heard inconsistent post-purchase support related to Alcons.

For subwoofers, I don’t think the current Genelec or Meyer Cinema lines are designed to hit the true subsonic response that makes home theater fun.

Hobbyist level subs like this are great options

And you can see what global shipping has cost in the past
