Album only available on Amazon and iTunes. Which one should I buy from?

Normally I try to buy music on CD or as FLAC files when available, but the album I'm looking to buy is only available on Amazon and iTunes.

Does any one here know the state of the two / is there a quality difference between the them?

iTunes because Apple is a better company than Amazon, especially wrt music/audio. Also wrt to culture and tech and so on.

All other things being equal, Apple AAC files should on paper be better than Amazon MP3 files. Would anyone realistically hear a difference assuming they are both at the same loudness? No.

Go on price or where you already have an account.

If their streaming video services are any indication, Apple delivers the full HDR/Atmos/4K experience, while Prime Video can be a pretty mixed bag.
 
^^^ Apple's on a roll with the audio/visual. New Apple TV on the way, new OS. News streaming into my RSS feed every day.
and VR. That headset is coming.

Amazon is MP3, Apple is lossless, no brainier.

I did. They don't seem to have much of a presence anywhere other than kickstarter and Instagram.

I don’t see why it would be when the same track is streaming lossless on Apple Music.

My understanding is also that you can still only buy aac. But I don't have a live apple account to test with.
