They didn't change the sound of my system but they did give my wallet a hollow sound.

No. If you still fear that any signals intrude into your precious audio units through unused plugs putting any connector with a metal housing into them will do the job. For inputs you can short the input to ground. Paying more than for a simple connector makes no sense.
