I may be misunderstanding your question, but as far as I know the DL200 lets you switch between two output paths:

- Headphone output, using the built-in headphone amplifier
- Line output, either unbalanced RCA or balanced TRS, with volume controlled on the device or via the remote

These are mutually exclusive, not simultaneous.

The line output is meant to feed an external amplifier or active speakers.

You understood correctly. I was a little bit confused while reading their manual.
You're correct, those two outputs (headphones / line output) are exclusive to each other.

You answered what I've asked. It was out of curiosity to check in the future if I could hear the difference on speakers. Different matter is will I check it tough.
