AKG K371 vs FiiO FT1

.. And it's not much more expensive?
according to the price, they have a difference of x2-2.5 . In the secondary market, the difference in value reaches x3

A friction of the price of Stelth. I am in tercial market same as you and I got Denon for 275€. If by chance Creative had commercially going counterpart for less money (same Foster) I would recommend those instead but as it is that is not the case. I won't recommend most of Fostex (Foster commercial department) as they had quality issues (funy that Denon's don't). You have a right to disagree but at least try a little harder.
Лјеп поздрав желим.
Edit: just to give you a glimpse of what I whose talking about.
You won't even find a photo of this on any Creative site anymore, eventually a one of much more cut down version on their home page (Singapore).

Disappointing to hear the FT1 cables are microphonic. Is it a big issue with the way the cable sits? This is my biggest issue with the K371 (the fact the positioning of the connector on the cup is such it is hard to stop it rubbing on your shoulder). Other than that clamp gets a bit sore after a while but the K371 are great headphones (haven’t had sturdiness issues).
It doesn’t look too hard to EQ down that bass - have you experimented at all?

Maybe I don't understand something. English is not my native language. Do you want to express exclusivity about these Emu and Denon? But if we put aside this empty design bombast, what will we see? How much will they cost? What will they cost? I see a measurement graph with typical pros and cons of a biocellulose diaphragm. I don't like the FT1 sound, but I probably won't like the Denon sound. Moreover, I do not share the concept of high-tech solutions to wrap in lacquered ebony veneer with inlay. This adds cost and input

Plastic fantastic would cost a lot less for a same wrap with same driver's, especially as Creative branded. It happened before with Aurvana Live - D1001 and they were cheaper than similar plasic AKG but in that case today recommendation definitely goes to K371.
No nonsense casted durable aluminum frame and simple construction is there for long lasting probably a life time if you take care of them. They don't make them like that anymore. Milenials (popular reviewers) called them like before 19. 11. In allegory meaning like from golden days of late 60's. I certainly won't discuss about your personal taste or likings and I don't care. Ugly trough in today consumer society if you want something which will last you have to pay for it. We can debate how much is that but even that is uther pointless. You can discuss with me materials, design, intellectual property but not the price. I neither make or sell any kind of gear. For example there are high grade thermo plastic elastomer materials that proven can last more than 50 years with lots of abuse but you won't even today find them on headphones (you will find TP-E 10 on last cuple generations of top tire Sony one's and some derivats used for casing). Dur Aluminium (airplane grade) is 100+ years. Simple high temperature 50/50% cast of Nickel and Titanium (NiTi) will keep it's original cast form even after getting hard mechanical deformed after applying some heat to it (memory metal) and it found it's way regarding use into some earphones/headphones (Aurvana Air/successor of DC Stelth) and so on.

I received the FT1.

I'm not sure about build quality. The cable is too thick, stiff and microphonic.
The wooden cups are not damped, when you tap these it resonates.

It surely looks good but that's not what we care about for audio stuff.

It's too warm and bass heavy, bloating bass masking the rest of the spectrum. On "I wish"/Stevie Wonder (a track that is well recorded imho), the snare is very muffled.

Strangely the cymbals feel "detached" from the rest of the spectrum, too high level, it "plays alone". I don't know if it comes from the 5k peak we can see on Oratory measurements as the sound of cymbals starts about 5k and more. Or the peak at 15k if I still ear this frequency...

As the Shure above it gives a V signature so the mids, what we are the more sensitive to, are too much laidback.
These headphones sound pretty hollow, it has a bit of the "cavern" sound like, lacking presence.

I don't believe the hype, the AKG are better if you like the Harman curve, more neutral.
Thank you for your frankness, you have saved me time and money. Probably the only headphones, the K371, and my modest collection. they do not need any kind of equalization in most genres
