Good news: The MUSES 02 is still available at Mouser. It seems there was initially some information suggesting that the MUSES 02 was no longer in production.

Yes, apparently it was discontinued according to some sources online.
Good to see that some are available as they are a very decent IC.

3 and replacing them is easy.

opa828 is a better choice if you want a cleaner sound as well as the Psvane 12ax7-at valves. Using the ifi Power X 12v will also take things up a notch.

When using the RCA inputs on this preamp & using both the balanced & single ended outputs (Amp/Sub) I got the strong subjective perception that things did not sound & perform correctly.

I do own this preamp but haven't used it in awhile. I can't remember if I got the same subjective negative results using the balanced input on the preamp while using both outputs.

Is what I perceived a known issue..& if it is does it also happen when using the balanced input & both outputs?

That is interesting.
When using both outputs at the same time with my T20 I do get a signal to both outputs..it just does not sound or perform as good when compared to using a single output.

I think I might hook up the T20 & reevaluate some things. When I used the preamp balanced in & balanced out I had no issues & the preamp sounded fine.

My main system is : T20 pre amp ( l have a big tube pre amp too, all balanced, 9 tubes. A stove. And a fosi pre amp) + electronic x over+ 3 stereo amps+ subwoofer amp.

The Ops have arrived- so small- dont know if l will be able to handle them. And what is the direction that they must be installed?? I cant even read what s written over. They don t look like Texas instruments.

They will normally have a dot, or a line which indicates where pin 1 is. Post a close up photograph and someone will tell you.

Having said that, I know I'm wasting my time - but seriously - there is no point.
