Aiyima DM100 | Owner's Thread [+ some basic measurements]

I bought DM100 from Amazon about a month back to see if it I could replace my surface pro and shield pro from media playback, audio library and Plex duties. Earlier I tried Pi4 which failed, then started looking to build Pi5 but then thought of trying DM100 with Amazon's 30 day return assurance. I don't think I could build Pi5 as nice as DM100 and now quite happy with it.
Here are some measurements to check some basics:

Source: DM100 playing REW saved test/measurement WAV files, with DMM calibrated output
DM100 ===> USB/Optical/Coax Out ===> Topping E50II ===> TRS Out ===> (TRS/XLR Input) Topping E1x2 OTG ===> USB C ===> Laptop with REW
DM100 Volume: Max, it disables preamp function on DM100
Topping E50II Volume: Max / 0.0 dB
Limitation: Using JAVA EXCL drivers which max out around -105 dB THD/N. ASIO provided better results around -108dB but REW was freezing or crashing with ASIO, so I am sticking to JAVA EXCL.

Note: Its hitting the limitation of audio interface and should measure beyond -105 dB with a better measuring device.

Well the measurements are impressive. I'm reasonably confident I would not hear any artefacts from this device based on your results.

Nice job on the measurements. I cannot find info about the DM100 being able to send multichannel DSD to an AVR through the HDMI either from ripped ISO or DSF tracks. Does anyone know? I know the A6 can but it's the only thing holding up my decision to buy one. Thanks.

I am able to play DTS files on VLC with bitstream.
I will try to find a multichannel DSD to test.

I received a reply back from Ayima ......... "only supports DTS multi-channel audio"

So I guess it's A6 for me, I have far too many DSD ISO's ................
