AIYIMA D20 – Decoding in Development

A nice looking piece of gear. Even though technically excellent, at over $400 CAD with no Eq or crossover it is difficult to get too excited. I bought the matching A20 on a whim and am tempted to complete the pairing, but my storage closet is starting to fill up with these little boxes.

No crossovers and sub out is just the biggest let down for me. I even saw the forum of them asking the community what we would like and it just feels like they flat out ignore and just do what they want lol

To be fair, the A20 has sub-out and a useful crossover so pairing it with the D20, as Aiyima intended ticks the boxes but seems like an odd design choice.

Yeah but a 20 is an amp. Kinda useless when you have active speakers. I don't see why companies keep putting sub outs on amps. Wouldn't it be much easier on a DAC in the digital realm??? Or at LEAST crossovers components on the low current stage before amping up? Why never a DAC they put sub outs with crossovers

Nah nah nah don't start giving me the same trash recommendations everyone else gives lol. Nobody needs a wiim for desktop use on PC.

Just trying to give advice. No need to be rude. I would have recommended the MiniDSP Flex but the Wiim provides more functionality for less money. Do what you want. I'm out.
