AIYIMA D20 – Decoding in Development

Hey audio lovers!

Here’s an update on the D20 development!
The hardware design is basically done, and our team is now putting the final touches on the UI software.
The D20 will be meeting you all very soon — stay tuned!

Looking good Aiyima! Let’s hope all that beauty has some substance….
It's both, as it seems - this one is supposed to compete against the Q1 bei Douk Audio, the Q11's successor. So far it looks fine, a little gimmicky for some tastes with two chipsets maybe... However that's not a real cost driver with these two chipsets, by me at least it's appreciated. I like these sturdy enclosures of Anniversary Series. There is no dual balanced output (that's a major difference to the Q1) but maybe switching relays on the inside for that purpose.
I will post pics when my arrives if it helps. I am only going to lift the glass, tired of pulling these things apart and the new glass lid design is a big bonus for me.

In regards to lid design for op amp switching I would maybe consider a slide design. A full sliding top plate sitting flush with the sides so nice and discreet and sliding out on rails.

By the way the Bluetooth on the Ampapa D1, within the limits of Bluetooth using the opa828 even AAC from the iPhone sounds very clear, it’s a great op amp to use - you would love it Picky Audiophile!

Good job Douk/Amapapa!

Hello. I just purchased two A20s for vertical bi-amping, which I'm really happy with. As soon as I can, I'll also purchase the T20, and to complete (and aesthetically pleasing) this D20 as well.
I expect a Parametric EQ to be installed, like Topping did, so I can have an all-Aiyima system. Judging by the photos, I don't think a headphone amp will be implemented, but please implement PEQ. I like the aesthetics, and I'd like to upgrade to the D20. Thank you

Spero che cambino idea e si diano da fare per metterlo in pratica.

Please do not skimp on the quality of the display and make sure that the brightness can be adjusted for dark rooms.

100%. I’d pay extra for a premium. However, the mockup of the interface looks clean, I really like it.

Great if firmware/software upgrade is possible without display swap like on A80.

Plus, ensure easy readability from distance. Everything else looks perfect. I will be buying the D20 to complete the 20-combo

Aiyima,
Will you enable bypassing AKM's DSP filters for DSD direct decoding? And DSD64 over spdif with DoP?

Hey Audio Enthusiasts!

We’re excited to share some features of the last piece of our 10th Anniversary Set – the D20, and we’d love to hear your thoughts!

1️⃣ Dual decoding chips – top-notch decoding performance and specs
2️⃣ Extremely rich options and UI operations – including interfaces and more
3️⃣ High-spec Bluetooth chip
4️⃣ Display screen – featuring multiple VU meters from the A80 and other new themes (stay tuned!)

(During the product development phase, all materials are for reference only and subject to the actual mass-produced product.)

We’d love to know: which feature excites you the most? Let us know in the comments!

When is it available? Reliase date please?!

Instead of the two optical input I would like to see I2S input(s) and AES xlr digital input or another coaxial. In my experience the optical inputs are inferior.

Please make the trigger in work with the wiim pro plus.
Don't do it. Don't associate it with specific equipment. Many people have different equipment, and many people don't use remotes at all. Excessive unused features are very annoying.

But please do. The A20 works with the trigger-cableplug only partially inserted, the T20 unfortunately not at all, therefore: D20...please

You can turn your devices on and off individually if you enjoy doing that.

That's weird. Have you tried a mono cable for the trigger?
