Sorry to say but there is no difference in audible characteristics and no measurable differences either. I’ve been on the op amp roll addiction and have tried 6-7 different including some very expensive Sparkos Labs. After the first psychoacoustic excitement you’ll will find out that this is marketing hype.
You might hear some micro dB gain differences, but that has nothing to do with audible nirvana. Take a look at what the different top class Purifi amplifiers use; cheap and excellent performing TI OPA 1612 and 1656.
Please watch Amir’s tests to find out more. I’ve wasted hundreds of dollars. Please don’t be an audiofool too.

Ps. I’m over 50 years and can still hear up to 17 kHz. And of course, if you put in a faulty, or ****** produced, op amp you will notice it.

thanks Roland! hey you have really excellent ears, to be honest my hearing starts to fade out at 13/ 14 kHz at my age of 55 years. jap the op amp discussion is maybe overated and I allready read Amirs thread regarding this matter. I have no expextations that it really improves sound, but I am just curious. What really matters is going active with seperate amps for each woofer/tweeter and get rid of this passive crossovers especially the lowpass coil in the woofer's xover. I will focus on active xovers and fir correction in the future. I just bought this sx52b. maybe i will never install them...

So for what I could gather on ASR, the unit needs to be powered on manually every time if one is not using the 12v trigger input.
I would need to plug it in a smart plug to have it power on/off for my situation and can't use a 12v tigger.

In the owner threads it was reported that the unit goes into standby mode after powering on and one needs to press the volume button which is a no-go for my situation. Can the standby mode be deactivated so it will be ON when power is given?

I’ve had my Aiyima A70 since launch, and I can confirm that if you run it without the 12V trigger, the unit simply stays on as long as it has power. It does not enter any kind of standby mode on its own, and it definitely doesn’t require you to press the volume knob after power‑up. Once power is applied, it comes on and remains fully operational until you manually turn it off.

The only thing the 12V trigger changes is system integration — not the basic power behaviour. If you don’t use a trigger, the A70 behaves like a normal amplifier: power in → amplifier on. So using a smart plug works perfectly fine, because the unit won’t drop into standby or wait for any additional input.
