Fair enough. I went for the Fosi V3m and haven’t been past 40/99 on the DAC that feeds them yet. Plenty for my needs but I don’t use a subwoofer.

AIYIMA A70 Stereo Amplifier Review

Just got one of these, just love that is dead quiet even at max volume even with the ear next to a kef r3 tweeter, 48v 5a supply. Unit is a bit warm to the touch nothing to be worried about so far.
Same setup with cambridge axr100 picked massive noise from my PC gpu at any volume, and smsl a300 also had a bit of tweeter hiss but not from the PC, inaudible below 50% volume level, but audible at max level at listening position.

@amirm , thank you for all you do to make this such an informative and high SNR forum! I sure would appreciate seeing detailed measurements of this amp's performance using the 5A vs. the 10A power supply. Many anecdotal reports seem to suggest that the 5A supply is adequate. And a recent youtube review linked earlier in this thread measured, using the 5A supply, the same max output power numbers as Aiyima's published numbers. Would be very interested in your confirmation/disconfirmation of that result.
And if at all possible as an extra bonus, I would love to see comparisons against some of the recent Infineon chip amps in this pricerange, such as SMSL AO300 with the Infineon MA5332MS.

I really wanted to see the measurements so that the 48V/5A GAN power supply is also included, next to the 48/10. What can be extracted from the 48/5 power, for 4 and 8 ohm loads, at 1 % Thd. Unfortunately, this doesn't want to happen, it seems...
Because you can buy it in most places with this 48/5 power supply. (and I like to see if it reaches 100 Watts at 8 ohms or not).

It would also be very helpful to have your measured amplifier output numbers at 1% Thd for both the 48V10A and the 48V5A power supplies. Part of the issue is that your website does not state which power supply was used in testing to achieve the published numbers. Respectfully, if you would please add that information to your website, it would help show that you want to help your customers and to be transparent.

Even better would be power rating following the new FTC amplifier rule as discussed in another thread. It'll be interesting to see whether they start enforcing this rule now it's had a fresh revision.
You gave a certificate for JYH38Z. On sale and in the review is a power supply unit under a different number JYH37Z. What is the difference? Is there a certificate for this?

Is there a version, is that a big disadvantage? I got one. I didn't notice any problems. There are 4 white relays on the volume pot pcb and several capacitors. and the 4 Silmig
on the final grade card. Is there a basis for comparison on the measurement and problems of the 2 versions? Please help me understand.

If anyone is looking for a subwoofer amp, I'd look at other than these chipamps. Subbass takes exponentially more power than normal 1 kHz because of bass equalization (boosting)(mandatory for virtually all woofers). That said power cube is probably your best indicator.
And also if you keep in mind that these amps are integrated circuits with heat blocks size of an index finger. They are simply not made for bass booming.

I have a question with my A70. I noticed that the RCA is louder than the XLR when the gain switch is on and when it's off both output has the same audio output level which should be the XLR output should be louder than the RCA Output comparing with Fosi Audio ZA3. Is this an issue? Anyone has the same experience on their A70?
Aiyima A70 now plays even more pleasantly even on a simple system. Some tuning that was reassuring to me. There is a V1 version, with "Silmig" capacitors.
What have I done? Replacement of 12 polar elkos in the voice path (yes, labeled SilmiG) with bipolar ones of a higher value and voltage.
The ne5532 was replaced by the opa1656 on the soic board. X7r 100 nF capacitor directly to the ic power pin
The factory 2 units of 2200 uF also received 1 unit each of 1000 uF/63V Liw Esr 105c condit parallel. Output 0.75 mm2 red thin 4 wires replaced with 2.5 mm2. On Tpa3255, normal cooling paste for better contact with the cooling core. 48V/5A GaN power supply 1 meter output cable shortened to 25 cm.
Clean, pleasant, completely noiseless, delicately soloing, but dynamic when needed - it was worth the little time spent and the few thousand. A pleasant disappointment. Oh, and one more thing: for the better cooling effect, I also removed the 2 red decorative grilles.

Purchased one of these about a week ago and am very pleased with its performance -- an excellent buy for the money. I don't play music particularly loudly so went with the 48V/5A power supply (still has more power than my prior amp.) My only complaint is that the Amazon info as to what's included isn't quite as clear as it could be. I bought the amp during Amazon Prime Sale days and thought I was getting an even better than normal price only to discover the low price was because NO power supply was included. So the amp sat unused for a couple of days waiting for the subsequently ordered power supply to show up, with the total cost the same as if I'd bought both at once before the "sale." But, I notice that from time to time with Chinese goods where it would behoove them to have a native English speaker take a look at the wording used in their Amazon ads.
